I've noticed on youtube that, since Romania didn`t recognize Kosovo's independance, the albanian attacks against Romania and Romanians are more virulent than ever. It saddened me to see that some Romanians started "debating" with those nationalistic Albanians about which country is better.... Romania or Albania ... how low can one go? Albanians know that they are the poorest of the poor from Europe, and instead of trying to work for they future and improve their status, they attack and try to discredit other countries by comparing them with their adoptive countries (for example, when they verbally attack Romania, they compare it to the USA or England or wherever they live, not to Albania, their native country). When they try to glorify Albania they say something like "it might be the poorest in europe but it's the richest country in the world with heroes". Let me tell y'all that nobody else except Albanians gives a d*mn about your heroes, in the same manner that nobody else except Romanians gives a d*mn about Romania's heroes, or in the same manner as I don`t give a d*mn about England's heroes. We Romanians should stop comparing ourselves with the people south of us and start comparing ourselves with the ones west from us which have better economical, military, etc. performances. In general, if you want to become better, you don`t compare yourself with the ones worse than you, but with the ones better than you. Now listen to this great song and relax

Why Romanians shouldnt compare with the people in the south? Greece is rich, prosperious European country. Turkey is improving fast too and growing. Bulgaria, I agree, isnt in the best shape too, but its totally comparable to Romania. I was in Bucharest last month for work for the first time and sorry to break it to u but it reminds me of Sofia only bigger with worse traffic (if thats possible). The countryside look almost the same.

Sofia and Bucharest are the worst capitals in Europe. Both ugly, grey (with the exception of the central areas), with horrible traffic with no signs at all.

Hey, no one is trying to promote Bucharest. I've been saying the same for years: burn that crappy city to the ground and start over. However, there's a bigger problem...what do we do with all those ceafa groasa in Wallachia? How do we get rid of them?

Romania is a country, Bucharest is just a city and luckily, Romania doesn`t look like Bucharest.
Anittas, there is no need to raze that city. All we need to do is to move the capital somewhere else. That city only exists because it's the capital. When to capital will be elsewhere, Bucharest will wither and die.
All they need is some german education. I don`t like to admit it, but as it is said here in Ardeal: "nemtii au adus harnicia, iar romanii omenia".

There so backward it isn't funny... The sad thing is that they don`t want to do anything about it. Nothing constructive. It's like they live in the past.

Diurpaneus
Firstly, do not flatter yourself. Most Albanians have a hazy recollection of what Romania even is or where it is situated.
Personally, I do not have anything against Romanians. And if some Albanians feel a resentment for Romania and the Romanians as a result of Romania's stance vis-á-vis the independence of Kosova, that is too bad, since politics shouldn't be taken personally. Nevertheless, even that is a reason. Whereas some of the Romanians' resentment for the Albanians really lack a reason. Or perhaps I am missing something here?

We are almost neighbors. Albanians must be quite dumb if they don't know the surrounding geography.

It is a figure of speech Anittas. Of course we know where Romania is located, what donnie was trying to say is that we do not associate Romanian dish with any specific taste, smell, color or flavor. We feel in general non opinionated toward Romania and Romanians. Almost as we feel let say like towards Canada and Canadians. strange in fact for a Balkan (Albanians) people and Balkan neighbor (Romanians). As a result of this emotional and factual state of feelings toward Romania and Romanians we are very surprised to Romania's position on the Kosova issue which wasn't a neutral one, but very outspoken in the opposite. That does not justifies personal insults anyway, but as you can see from your words below you are appalled from political correctness: FanNoliI don't think its morally right or ethical to put names/phrases under peoples nicknames... AnittasFanoli, what do you think this is? The UN? Take your Nordic political correctness and... and I also have used a figure of speech to on the metaphor of dish, taste, flavor... good morning, good afternoon, good night or whatever is in your part of the world
