Kurdish Children and Youth Music from Kurdistan
Kurdish Community of Southern California, and Dilan Entertainment Present
Kurdish Youth and Children Music Group from Diyarbakir
Koma Denge Zaroken Amede

(San Diego) On October 5th at Joan B. Kroc Community Center, in San Diego, Kurdish Community Center of Southern California and Dilan Entertainment are proud to present the talented Kurdish Youth and Children Music group from Kurdistan.
Fifteen members of the Kurdish Children and Youth Music Group from Kurdistan are coming for their only premier performance to San Diego. Currently living in Diyarbakir, they are coming to California to perform in San Francisco and San Diego. The group consists of 14 girls and boys ranging from the ages of 8 to 16 year. These young talents sing and play their own percussion and tembur- instruments. Most of the members are either homeless or live in a vary disadvantage parts of Diayrbakir, a Kurdish city situated southeast of Turkey.
This chorus was established two years ago, and they have performed with famous groups such as Kardes Turkuler in Istanbul, Silvan and Amed. They have been performing almost every month in various venues since their first performance. This amazing group of committed young artists sings in eight different languages in addition to their Kurdish native tongue. All of the group members play percussion instruments of davul, darbuka and arbane, in addition to the lute tembur.
This group is accompanied by their young talented director, Ms. Duygu Ozge, who is 21 years old. Ms. Ozge has been in a chorus since the age of 10. She performed with prominent singer Sezen Aksu in Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya and Brussels (Belgium). Previously she was working with childrens percussion and singing group for Sur Municipality in Diayarbakir. She is currently working for Yenisehir Municipality, where she teaches singing lessons, and she also volunteers as a teacher at the two churches in Diyarbakir.
This is once in a lifetime opportunity to hear KOMA DENGE ZAROKEN AMEDE, a phenomenal group of young singers and musicians from Kurdistan.
