The PKK will get fuc.ked soon as Turkey goes thru all the diplomatic channels,,, which we have almost exhausted at present. Now its just waiting for the Green light, what makes me sad is.. Innocent Kurds going to get hurt in this war, the Kurds have the PKK to thank for that. Still life goes on..... Im guessing PKK are attacking around our important cultural/holy days.. bayram etc... wouldnt be suprised if they try somethin on 29 oct.. gona wait n see mate

The pkk has done nothing but ruin the economy of the southeast and even worse create something which never existed before - racism against kurds. The police had to use water cannons and tear gas to stop a mob from attacking kurds yesterday.
The Turkish military should look to assasinate that towelhead Barzani ASAP. Little phucker needs a 1000 ton bomb up his ass

I somewhat blame this mess squarely on the United States. I was reading another topic and Yahac could be right, he believes the US is possibly sucking Turkey in?

I have an idea !!! What if we do population exchange and get our Turkish borthers form West Trakya and give all Kurds to Greece in return. You know, since you like them more than Turks... ;D
So you can decide what to do- autonomy or federation. You pick... ;D

The whole situation with the PKK shows the incompotence, idiocy and hypocrisy of American policy. I mean seriosuly America claims Iraq is part of the so-called "war on terror" yet America has done nothing to stop the PKK even though it views it as a terrorist group -- not only that but in all of Kurdish northern Iraq their are at most 100 U.S. troops, so it would be logical to assume that a few thousand American troops would be enought to get rid of a few terrorists in Northern Iraq. Furthermore, America is against Turkey going into Iraq to defend it's self but when Israel did the same thing to Lebanon the Americans (particularly Bush) defended Israels right to do this. Show more American idiocy.

Little phucker needs a 1000 ton bomb up his ass I wouldn't say racism never existed in Turkey. I think you should state the fact that PKK themselves engaged in ethnically cleansing Kurds in Iraq (the very people for who'se rights they claim to be fighting for). In the area of north Iraq where they are based they drove out the majority of Kurds their because they oppossed the PKK.

This whole thing seem's to remind me of the book Metal Storm from Turkey (I haven't read it, I read some mention of it in The Economist so I am not sure if it is accurate). The basic plot is something happens in northern Iraq and the U.S. invades Turkey leading to a new third world war -- and the initial events in the book happen in 2007.

What made me really sad was one of the soldiers the PKK killed was ethnically Kurdish, the youngest of 9 brothers and the only breadwinner in the family (shephard) yet his father said - we are living under the Turkish flag, this is our nation to, vatan saolsun. It is for our nation. Man everywhere u look in UmitKoy and Cankaya is adoned with Turkish flags, at timesit feels suffocating - im not used to such extreme symbolism, I wish that we could solve this problem with the least bloodshed. The PKK have really ruined kurds lives in Turkey.

Everything you read says the Kurds have had their rights increased in Turkey and that discrimination has substantially fallen. The PKK represents extremists and the uneducated.

Dude there wasn't ever discrimination against Kurds in reality. Only when they started having their stupid separatist ideas was there language restricted and such. What gets me the most is they all beg for equality in language yet choose to speak Turkish, I only ever heard Kurds (from Turkey) speak in Kurdish (mixed with Turkish) in London. I have met so many ethnic Kurds and mixed Turk Kurds here(Turkey) and all are Nationalist.None of them want a separate nation. In fact I met a very left wing Kurdish successful business man recently, he said he would hate to live in a pure Kurdish country as he doesn't even have anything in common with non Turkey born Kurds. Also he thinks the PKK are oppressors for Kurdish people, as most Kurds are Muslims and the PKK have communist ideals.

Of course, PKK is a bunch of loosers recruited by foreigners. They don't really care for communism or separatism. They obey whatever they are told.
I bet if Turkey agrees to negotiate a federation with them today they won't show up at all. They are not for solution they are trouble makers. If Turkey wants to get rid of them they need to deal with their masters.
They need to be pressed and influences diplomatically. We have many things to trade. Air bases, logistics. Iran's oil and natural gas. Troops in Afganistan and Lebanon... NATO... EU...
No need to be dragged into a bloody chaos in Northern Iraq...
