Unfortunatly the maps ARE accurate . Most Americans do not know anything about the outside world and even other parts of the United States . We Americans continue the tradition of isolationism even if not willingly .
Part of the reason is that we are geographically far from ' hotbed' regions in the world though our government is often directly involved with foreign matters .
Our people are kept in the dark and this benfits an imperialistic government such as that of the Bush-Cheney regime . We exploit other countries and shop cheap feeding our unconquerable consumerism .
Unfortunatly for Americans this translates into attacks like 9/11 and then we wonder why on earth do they want to kill us ? Our foreign policy has been so crappy to the benifit of capitalism and cooperations that this has left an ill taste in the mouth of others in the world towards AMERICAN PEOPLE .
I have always said that American polititians are the worse sort of crop the earth has to spit out . However , American people are the most generous in the world . Unfortunatly American people are also the most ignorant in the world but the powers to be in our own country prefer it that way .

Their really is no candidate who would change American attitudes. They're all somekind of interventionists, except Ron Paul.

I like your style radovic but Ron Paul wouldn't even really get a shot .
The war in Iraq is far too profitable to Big Oil and Defense Contractors and any cease and desist would be against the interest of corperate America .
He would be eliminated before he even had a close shot to the presidency .

I agree with most of his policies, and I know someone who agrees with my policies is unliely to be elected in any country.

Those ' powerful lobbies' are nothing more than special interest groups that pull the Republican or Democrat party in one direction or the other . It is because of these goofballs that America has lost its prestige in the world . I like a lot of Ron Paul's views mostly the fact that he goes against the establishment of partisanship and polarization which was so successfully implimented here . But ultimatly it revolves around business . Most of these lobbies/interest groups ( at least the most powerful ones) rally for big business and greater profit margin for the shareholders and/or cooperations/organizations they represent . ' Reaganomics,' or the free hand given to corperations to spread their influence unhindered has crippled our system and I am afraid to say that it will take more than Ron Paul to fix the problem . Besides , economically Ron Paul is more or less supportive of the Free Market and I believe he would have a hard time regulating shady business .

I generally agree. ron Paul is libretarian and for the free market. But he is not of the same free market supporter as people like Bush. I remember hearing that at a speech he called the current system of free trade "unfair trade" and I agree with his assessment. I don't think Ron Pual would be able to fix anything. If he was president day one of his office the congress would start impeachment proceedings against him.
