Bush will come to Zagreb after the NATO summit in Bucharest. Croatia expects to be invited to join the Alliance at that summit.
Croatian Radio-Television reiterates that the government has decided that NATO entry does not require a referendum and that after the events that have accompanied the Kosovo Albanian’s unilateral independence declaration, Croatian citizens’ reliance on NATO support is growing.
According to the Puls agency, 67 percent of citizens support Croatian NATO membership, while a month ago, the figure was just over 50 percent.
