I have a new friend,he's Christos the albo.He lives here for most of his years. He is a construction worker and he helps out my building bcz its old and some material is collapsing and people's life is in danger. One month ago i was almost killed bcz some piece of plaster fell a meter far from me....This was the reason bcz i did not participate u bastards and nobody was interested for me...
Anyway,i had a nervous breakdown for 3 weeks bcz my life was in danger and now that i feel better i try to persuade the other owners for some repair...The building is still dangerous and there is some possibility that a person or two could be injured or die...
Guys, wish me luck,we need it so that the building in a month or two will be o.k again...My albo friend did a fine job, removing some marble and plaster which was about to fall but the sad thing is that he's too reckless...imagine that he climbed up a tree to remove a piece of plaster which was about to fall from the first floor!!!anyway, wish me luck...you cant imagine the shock i experienced in May the 5th...i went to church at night and i was crying... :'(i do hope in a month or two im gonna smiling... ;D
hugs & kisses,Leandros...

Leandros,
Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaatttttttttt!!!!!! Lol, we missed you. Dude you have been on this forum for years. You could never leave us not even for a vacation. This is where you spend all your time when you could be out cruising for females.

Close encounters happen and will happen. The closest was when I was heading towards Dhermi in Albania and was traveling along a very small and (then) unpaved mountain road when a bunch of kids suddenly came out a corner speeding down, forcing my uncle to make a hard right that nearly plunged us off the cliff... I know how you feel, expect that my uncle, after a round of cursing and screaming, kept driving normally after it while I nearly underwent shock...
Just always hope your own the good side of τύχη!!! ;D

no,i wasnt hurt...it fell from 20 m high and allthough it was small it would break my head...the problem is that the threat remains...allthough christo removed some dangerous stuff from the highest floor...
thanx guys for your kind words...

Happy to see that all is well.
Sometimes it takes a bit of fear to increase the perception of value of ones life.
Stress over the event will decrease with time and event itself will be used perhaps as a lesson (one never to be forgotten hence the stress that accompanies it).
All the best wishes

No papa, everything is NOT o.k...unfortunately...danger still remains, for so many people...the building is very problematic...
i do my best though...for example i have talked to almost all the owners of the flats and they do want to repair the damages...and i have found someone from the construction business who could fix it without requiring a lot of money... still, there's one single person who for his own reasons DOES NOT WANT TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!allthough he does know about the ocassion...i could call the police and they would force the owners to fix the damage, but i worry that such a tricky and cunning person would harm me somehow...o.k,perhaps im trully a bit coward...perhaps i should inform the authorities and force the owners to do something...its about protecting human lives but i still try to convince people instead of forcing them...
in the meanwhile, this person seems to agree when he talks to others, but when we are alone he seems too reluctant, using all sorts of ridicilous excuses "dont worry,no more plaster will fall"
"How can we be sure that after a year or two, more plaster wont fall"
So,if an accident happens, people will say "Leandros told us hes gonna fix the damage,we wished to pay our share but he did nothing. He is responsible, not us."On the other hand this other person never argued, never disagreed publically and he said yes,we should fix it...So,i am going to be exposed or even accused bcz all i did was talking,i gave an empty promise...
you can never be sure when you have to deal with cunning men,i dont know what to do...
anyway,if my english was better,i could explain better...

Leo,
if you live in USA, (N.Y) can't you call 311 and report the owner? It's anonymous....

no girl,i live in greece...still i could do an anonymous call...but im silly enough that i have talked to that person about this matter... so,he will definitely realise who called the authorities...man,what did i do,im so naive...

Take a picture of the building so I can see what damages you're talking about... When you say plaster you mean concrete pieces falling off?
You either remove all that is loose and seal the damage area to prevent any water penetration from going in...so in the winter the thaw/ freeze cycle won't dislodge it.

no,its not concrete,or bricks...its much much lighter...but if it falls from the 5th floor, its very dangerous...oh,also some broken marble...
