deeds? They could remain in Albania after Greece ethnically cleansed Albanian Muslim regions of its territory, they have their schools, they can freely speak their language everywhere, they are recognized by the state as a minority, they do not face any discrimination in terms of religion, etc... those are deeds. What about minorities in Greece? They weren't ethnically cleansed as you claim, you guys have abused this sentence to death. If you research well, they were committing atrocities against Greece & her people for greater Albania & like war criminals do they fled from being prosecuted. They got what they deserved. Justice was served. Had they not been committing atrocities, they still will be there today.

Both words together ano kato in greek means upside down & inside out as in a messed way or in an unorganized manner, an expression used when say someone’s clothes are all over the place then they are ano kato. In ancient times places were named after what reminded them etc.

The Swiss newspaper Neue Zürcher Zeitung has featured Muslims living in northern Greece, close to neighboring Bulgaria who are also called Pomaks. Their religion is the main difference between them and Greek natives. In Bulgarian villages such as Pashovi, especially in those resided by Pomaks, you may find mosques not Orthodox temples. They are very small and attendants are always on alert “because you would better be ready for anything,” says a 35-year-old Pomak. This Muslim minority, despite living right on the Greek-Bulgarian borders and feeling as if both countries could constitute their homeland, faces many problems and is not welcome by any of them. Pomaks have their own dialects, rather similar to that of Christian Bulgarians and many of them speak fluent Turkish, Albanian or Greek. Sociologists have not yet come to a certain conclusion on their origin. Some claim that Pomaks are a Slavic Muslim population, but others believe that they are Bulgarians who turned to Islam during the Ottoman occupation in the Balkans. Many Greeks believe that religion plays a major role for social relationships and as a result, both the state and citizens, ignore Pomaks as if they do not live in Greece. The same is the case with Bulgaria and as a result, Pomaks exist but are totally forgotten by all, or at least, most of Greeks and Bulgarians.
Yet another news paper making claims on behalf of the people & not official from the people them self's....Geeez rex get your sources from unofficial reports from papers only Sorry rex but these news papers are only good for toilet paper !

another interesting one Viennese Newspaper Claims Ikaria Islanders Wish to be Annexed into Austria “On the island of Ikaria residents are considering holding a referendum to decide whether its 9,000 residents will continue to be governed by Athens or become independent,” Viennese free press newspaper Heute claimed quoting an alleged report by Italian newspaper Libero. The Greek Embassy in Austria reacted to the bad taste of Heute editors, or rather their lack of professionalism, with a furious statement rejecting the validity of the report. “The government has forgotten us years ago. If one cannot assure us now, new roads and a hospital, we may decide to break away from Athens,” Heute claims the islanders have threatened. “It is difficult for us to remain independent. But we could demand the annexation to another country. Of course, not to Turkey, better to Austria,” the islanders ostensibly said during the celebrations of the 100th Anniversary of Independence from the Ottoman Empire. The Austrian journalist even asked an expert’s opinion on whether it would be possible for Austria to finally get direct access to beaches in the Aegean Sea after the “annexation.” “They have really gone too far, saying “The secession of the island would have serious consequences for the Greek economy.” ”Ikaria is an inseparable part of Greek territory and there is no agreement between the Greek government and the island that runs out,” underlined the statement of the Greek Embassy. It appears that some residents expressed a strange opinion and the Italian journalist got it all wrong. No official spokesman or the island’s Mayor ever stated that Ikaria wishes to be annexed into any other country, or even become independent for that matter. The mayor of Ikaria has said his island has no intention of leaving the Greek state, following a series of reports in the Italian, Austrian and German press claiming the islanders were considering secession. In an interview with Greek television on Wednesday, Christodoulos Stavrinadis said: "The statements that we want to belong to Austria are the product of a sick imagination. "There is no movement for independence; that is nonsense," he continued, in comments quoted by the RIA Novosti agency. On Tuesday, the Greek embassy in Vienna also dismissed Austrian newspaper reports claiming that islanders on Ikaria were considering a referendum to leave Greece and unite with Austria. www.athensnews.gr/portal/1/57013

Arxilleas, maybe Uresis and Preljubios were also greeks?? because their name sound like having greek ending? of course the ending sounds and is greek, but the guys (just like Juvan = Katriotis) were Serbs. All balkan nobility in 12th, 13th, 14th centuries were Serbs.lol......during georgos kastriotis times it was the Greek bazantine empire, now you're gonna tell me it was the serb & romans empire wft lol.......you're a nut case, sorry had to say it...You are no better the say donnie & you are an insult to Greek & Serb friendship... .
