Adolf Hitler about the Greeks... www.hitler.org/speeches/05-04-41.htmlAdolf Hitler May 4th 1941, Reichstag, Berlin (this paragraph is near the end of that page) Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The German armed forces have truly surpassed themselves in this campaign. There is only one way of characterizing that campaign: Nothing is impossible for the German soldier. Historical justice, however, obliges me to say that of the opponents that have taken up arms against us, most particularly the Greek soldiers, have fought with the greatest bravery and contempt of death. They only capitulated when further resistance became impossible and therefore useless.

bmcr.brynmawr.edu/2007/2007-11-07.htmlBryn Mawr Classical Review 2007.11.07 Elean, then, shares 'severe' vocalism with the southern Peloponnese, but has traditionally been classed with the Northwest Greek dialects, a subset of West Greek. This group includes the dialects of central Greece and the north-western Peloponnese (Locris, Phocis, Aetolia, Acarnania, Epirus, etc.), though many of these are attested so poorly, and so late, that it seems likely that the language of the texts is nothing more than a written koine.

www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/190156/EpirusAfter the Mycenaean civilization declined, Epirus was the launching area of the Dorian invasions (1100–1000 bc) of Greece. The region’s original inhabitants were driven southward by the Dorians, and out of the ensuing migrations three main clusters of Greek-speaking tribes emerged in Epirus: the Thesproti of southwestern Epirus, the Molossi of central Epirus, and the Chaones of northwestern Epirus. They lived in clusters of small villages, in contrast to most other Greeks, who lived in or around city-states.

Here's some flowers for your thought Mysia... still, this is the balkan s**thole, the war has reached our back yard-fyrom,hatred amongst our nations may lead to another conflict where Greece may be forced to participate...During the cold war period everything was fine but now that communism has fallen there is no balance in the balkans and i wonder when things will get better...

Horrors of KLA prison camps revealed news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7990984.stmThe man spoke plainly as he explained the horrors he lived through in a Kosovo Liberation Army prison camp 10 years ago. He told me about how he watched people beaten with steel pipes, cut with knives, left for days without food, and shot and killed.
