Montenegrin opposition leader on hunger strike over Kosovo recognition
The leader of Montenegro’s largest opposition party, the Serbian List, who has been on a hunger strike for the past five days due to the Montenegrin government decision to recognize independence of Kosovo, will continue this kind of political fight until the decision of the official Podgorica is annulled
(KosovoCompromise Staff) Monday, October 20, 2008 The spokesman of the party Dobrilo Dedeic said that Andrija Mandic will continue his strike in the party premises inside the Montenegrin parliament, and will carry out his political activities relating to the coalition.
The parliamentary opposition has demanded the government to annul its decision on recognition of the unilaterally declared independence by Kosovo, which was rejected.
The opposition also demands a referendum to be called for citizens to express their opinion on the decision, or early parliamentary elections to be called.

Pro-Serb Leader Abandons Hunger Strike Over Kosovo - ReportNasdaq - 1 hour, 39 minutes ago PODGORICA (AFP)--A pro-Serb opposition leader broke a hunger strike over Montenegro's decision to recognize Kosovo's independence when he was hospitalized after his condition deteriorated, media reported Sunday. Parliament deputy Andrija Mandic "was admitted to the hospital in a conscious condition but visibly exhausted" late Saturday, Vladimir Dobricanin, director of the capital's main hospital, told reporters. His condition improved shortly after treatment, Dobricanin added, refusing to provide further details. Mandic's party colleagues, who brought him to the hospital, said the lawmaker decided to break his hunger strike upon a doctor's advice. Mandic stopped eating Oct. 13, in a bid to force the government to reverse its decision to recognize Kosovo despite strong opposition from its former federal partner Serbia and pro-Serb opposition parties here. www.nasdaq.com/aspxcontent/NewsStory.aspx?cpath=20081026%5cACQDJON200810260707DOWJONESDJONLINE000211.htm&&mypage=newsheadlines&title=Pro-Serb%20Leader%20Abandons%20Hunger%20Strike%20Over%20Kosovo%20-%20Report

Milo Marlborough is still in power. He has a parliamentary majority and to prevent further violence the opposition has called of protests.
Milo Marlboroguh is quiet, he knows he faces problems during 2009 parliamentary elections.
