I don't get why they didn't just call the language stokavski. They called it ilirski at one point, anyways, my favorite is dalmatinski.... I don't have a "least favorite" list, that's just stupid Anyways, historically. What is the deal with "eastern Bosnian", as seen on the stokavski map. The "eastern Herzegovina je-kavski" coming into northern Croatia and Bosnia is the result of migrations, the whole deal with military frontiers populated by Serbs, as well as the Ottomans filling up empty land. And another question, where were the Serbs from Kosovo settled after they were driven out in the 1700s, with subsequently Albanians driven in. Shouldn't the northern dialects in Serbia have a stronger link to the kosovo ones, seen as lots of Serbs were given refuge in Vojvodina, after being driven out of kosovo. Anyways, I heard someone claim that from looking on a map of Stokavski you could tell what migrations historically took place with "nasi ljudi" en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shtokavian_dialect
