Egypt does not recognized self-proclaimed Kosmet independence or passports of the so-called Republic of Kosovo – stated Serbian Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic after talks with his Egyptian counterpart Abdul Geit in Cairo. He emphasized that Egypt supports Belgrade’s stance on necessary adherence to international legal norms and does not believe that Kosmet is a religious problem, as Albanian leaders attempted to present this in the province. As a very influential stated in the Arab world, Egypt will try to explain to other member states of the Islamic Conference and Non-Alignment Movement, the Arab and African League, that at issue is a purely political problem and ethnically motivated attempt of secession which is contrary to the UN Charter and the Security Council’s decisions – underlined Jeremic. He stated that with Minister Geit he also discussed Serbia’s initiative that at the forthcoming session of the UN General Assembly, it requests of the International Court of Justice in The Hague to issue a ruling on unilaterally proclaimed Kosmet’s independence. Egypt will decide on this after consultations with its Arab partners, as they always try to have a united position on the eve of the UN General Assembly session – explained Jeremic.

This is good. Egypt is very influential amongst the Arab world. We all remember the wars they waged with Israel in the 60s and 70s. No other Arab nation has done that on such a large scale. Having their support is absolutely essential. But that aside, all of the Balkan conflicts in the 1990s were not religiously sparked or motivated. It was all political. Religion was used to move the masses and unite people to stand together and fight the "oppressor". I am serb and I too in 1992 as a 8 year old was under the impression that the Bosnian Muslims will come and eat us all alive...etc For those that are still brain washed by religious motivation behind any conflict in modern history, it is time for you to get an education. Below is a quote from Hermann Goering as to how real easy it is to move the masses and get them to do whatever you please: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hermann_G%C3%B6ringThis very same principle has been used to spark the Yugoslav wars. No Serb, Croat or Muslim woke up one morning and thought to himself how he/she could exterminate his/her neighbours..etc

"The arab world wont buy anything anti-serb again."
Pyrro, l don't think the majority of the arab world is positively disposed toward serbia but they are obiviously sending a message to the US state department since they have denied palestine a homeland.

Novi i think the majority of the arab world cant locate Bosnia or Serbia on the map. And they care about us as much as we care about them, and modern politics have shown that the lack of "care" is orders of magnitude better than intensive foreign "care".
