Ceremony honors the 50 contributors
One of the highlights not only of the 2008 Euroleague Basketball Final Four, but perhaps in the history of European basketball took place on Friday evening at the Community of Madrid Sports Palace between the two semifinal games as 50 legends of the past 50 years of European club basketball were honored on center court. The historic season-long celebration of 50 Years of European Club Basketball peaked as a sell-out crowd wildly cheered 38 of the most important personalities in the history of the game as they took the floor for a once-in-a-lifetime event. The honorees were welcomed to the floor one by one as photos and videos of their great pasts played on the arena screens in the background.
Among the 50 greatest contributors were 10 Serbs:
Players Drazen Dalipagic Sasha Djordjevic Radivoje Korac Dejan Bodiroga Predrag Danilovic Vlade Divac
Coaches Zeljko Obradovic Dusko Ivkovic Aca Nikolic Boza Maljkovic
Four Croats (Drazen Petrovic, Kresimir Cosic, Toni Kukoc and Dino Radja) and one Bosnian Muslim (Mirza Delibasic) are also on the list, making it 15 ex-Yugo contributors. Pretty impressive!

Drazen Petrovic is a Montenegrin Half Montenegrin. He also played for Croatia so you know where his loyalties lie.

Serbs are good at basketball no denying it. I used to cheer for Kings when Stojakovic and Divac played. Before that, Bulls because of MJ and Kukoc. Now, I hate everyone.
But I think Petrovic was the best one out of all the players. No bias intended!

Actually, I think mapko you forgot some. Nikola Vujcic, Stojan Vrankovic, Aleksandar Petrovic, Velimir Perasovic, Mihovil Nakic from Croatian players and from coaches; Mirko Novosel, Zeljko Pavlicevic. You also totally ignored Slovenia. www.euroleague.net/history/50-years/player-nominees

Aleksandar Petrovic is Drazen's brother; Croat. Savic is Serb, that's my mistake. Bodigora is a gypsy I guess, I though he was a Croat because he started out in Zadar. Oh well.
