A fire that razed a mosque on the Bosnian Muslim holiday of Bayram was an accident and not a deliberate attack, authorities said. Citing the results of the two week-long investigation, the office of the regional prosecutor in Trebinje said on Friday that the fire in the Fazlagica Kula mosque was caused by a faulty electrical insulation which started the fire near the mosque’s roof. The mosque, which is located in the eastern part of Republika Srpska, was razed on the eve of the Bayram holiday. Most Bosniak (Bosnian Muslim) religious and political leaders strongly condemned the incident, viewing it as a deliberate attack on Bosniak returnees to the Serb-dominated entity. Read more: Mosque Burned in Bosnia on Muslim Holiday Bosnian Serb officials pledged to identify the cause of the fire and eventual perpetrators as soon as possible, but some Bosniak officials have already complained the investigation was too slow and too superficial. The mosque and the whole village of Fazlagica Kula were completely destroyed during the 1992-95 war. The mosque and several houses were reconstructed over the past few years after a few dozen villagers returned. www.balkaninsight.com/en/main/news/15703/

Initial forum reactions to mosque fire; FazlinhoI can only say, animals, the lowest of the lowest. I pray another war won't start but this is asking for it. Shmajserserbianimals, if the church was burned down it would be a breaking news on CNN and BBC, sta ja vama svo vrijeme govorim da morate biti ko Albanci, sa zivotinjama nema milosti. This behavior from anthropologically unevolved sub-humans doesn`t surprise me, if the slaves did this to Albs 5 prdoslav churches would have been burned for retaliation. "tito"/osmanoNe mogu srpski teroristi srusiti koliko ih mi mozemo izgraditi tyson - my fav reaction ;D fukkin cetniks. just another proof that the RS should be disolved immediately into the rest of BiH. bobNo need to jump to conclusions. This is a busy period for mosques, use of electrical appliances increases and can lead to all sorts of accidents. Wait until you learn all the facts. skoricDamn Cetniks. I think it was General Mihajlovic himself who rose from the dead and did this last final deed for the dark lord satan himself. bosanskinoviDigusting...its like the church-barbecue in Kosovo has taught Serbs nothing Praporshchik BosnatronI'm giving this a benefit of a doubt. kapetanI suspect a church will be burning soon, most likely on Orthodox Christmas. And nobody can say it wasn't provoked. Wrong, but provoked. illyria.proboards19.com/index.cgi?board=bosniahercegovina&action=display&thread=14249&page=1

I think even if a 3rd party cleared the incident as an accident most Boslims would refuse to accept the reality. Generally speaking, having a mosque being burnt down by chetniks just before bajram is a victory for the 'nationalist Bosniak' cause. Just look at the swift reaction to the incident - BEFORE knowing the facts. There were already calls for the establishment of the fascist 'Patriotski Blok', only a matter of time before the return of the gestapo and gulags to help purge Bosnia of the chatnicks... To think it was just some electrical fire does nothing to help the cause - just makes some people look like complete idiots (with the quotes I posted above) The same denial is no different to when the death toll was released lowering the number from 250k to 100k - with just 60% of those Bosniaks. A rude awakening if you will

I read this this morning and as every Bosniak and muslim leader in the area, I laughed.
The same people (serbs) who said glas was broken and traces of gasoline found, quickly change the findings to falty electric wires in a almost brand new mosque where a wet piece of wood cought on fire on bajram in a town where this same mosque was already blown up once after war, and attacks on returnees are infamous.
yes
belivable
you guys are lauging as if its a suprise, yet if you go on ANY bosnian site you'll see every single bosniak saying "well it'll either be heaters or something like that, or drunk teenagers".
so to us this is pretty much what we knew. and anyone who belives this a straight up moron.
btw if anyone here actualy had any education, go read the explanation in our languages on our news sites, and you'll see how it reeks of bulls**t and is almost impossible.

Neka to inženjer elektrotehnike, odnosno vještak elektrostruke, kaže. Mi smo kontrolirali priključke, mjerila, osigurače, elektroprovodnike. Sve smo to obradili", tvrdi Mičić.
Smajkićem posjetio povratnike u Fazlagića Kuli i obišao zgarište tamošnje džamije.

Do you have a non-Boslim source to collaborate these findings? I believe "Dnevni Avaz" as much as I believe in Santa Clause. Hvala lepo.
