how is it propaganda. But what pisses me of is that the same Serbs who support a non secular society in Serbia and the RS come here and give us s**t for these islamists.. First let them clean up their own yard... Wait aren't you a Slavic paganist? I hope you are aware that "Father Christmas" isn't a Serbian religous figure, that would be Saint Nicholas, "Father Christmas" -- or better yet Deda Mraz is a commercialization of a Slavic pagan figure, specifically he is a forest wizard in Slavic mythology.

Well, I dont particularly like religious education in nurseries either, but that's what people should be upset about, not the "banning" of Santa. Btw, Im still looking for the source, or any article with more information about this. Anyone? B92.

They're not going to deliver them on Christmas Day, because that's a religoyus day. Then there will be accusations of favourtism towards any religoion if it is brought -- beofre December 25, favouritism to catholics, January 7, to the Orthodox. Hence a secular day, New Years Day was chosen. Not only that but in communsit times the day was changed to New Years Day, to dissassociate the pagan Deda Mraz from a religous date. A tradition dating back to Slavic times that became infused with Christmas day. The communists didn't introduce it, they changed the date in question. All of ex-communist Europe. How is that a "problem"? The RS-team will per definition always be a cetnik team. But not all serbs are cetniks. Far from all croats in BiH are ustase(40-50% vote for pro-Bosnian political parties). As for the Bosniaks I would say that it is absurd to call the average Bosniak a nationalist. The vehobos sect are islamist, but not the average Bosniak France is not like most European countries, it is an exception, most EU countries are more tolerant towards freedom of religion then BiH. this is getting us nowhere!! Are you suggesting that we should force the citizens of Sarajevo to keep this communist tradition? [/quote]

I think Bosnia should follow German folklore and make the Krampus the deliver of presents, instead of that evil pagan "I mean Christian" Slavic forest wizard Deda Mraz who delivers on New Years day.

They're not going to deliver them on Christmas Day Then they are not going to deliver them at all ;D In my opinion all children of Bosnia should celebrate all 6 religious events together 6 times per year. That is how one builds tolerance towards the others, instead of just ignoring the fact that Bosnia is a multi-religious country and not a nation of communist bastards who deny their peoples a basic human right such as freedom of religion.

Retarded. Althogh giving presents for 'new years' was retarted to begin with. But Catholic kids who celebrate Christmas on the 25th should be allowed to get presents.

There is no point of declaring 'national holidays' based on religious preferences. When the state takes sides on this issue thats when all the problems arise. If people want to personally celebrate a certain day then they should be able to do it without any kind of declaration from the state.
The original intent of 'freedom of religion' or ' freedom from religion' ( depending on your perspective) was to not have the state involved, at all. So it begs the question, is there really 'freedom of faith or non faith' in a country that nationalizes holidays based on religious dogma? If you nationalize Xmas holiday or Ramadan, what about the Jew minorities? What about the atheist minorities? What about the other minorities?

Unlike having celebrations based on what happened to certain figures in the middle east several centuries ago, something that makes 100% sense.

sorry but deda mraz being an "old slavic figure" is really just bs. It is linked primarily to christianity although I do recognize per se it has nothing christian about it.

Did I say Christmas is retarted? I said not letting people get presents is retarted. And giving presents on new Years is retarted. New Years as we know it today isn't part of any reliigon. So wtf are you exactly offended by in my post? I don't celebrate anything but New Years like everyone else I party.

The Grinch who stole Christmas has been positively identified as one "Halil Halilovic" of Illidza. After a thorough investigation, the perpetrator was not Halil Halilovic, who police orginally thought was stealing presents, but Serbian war criminal Ratko Mladic.

Besides creating yet another division in an incredibly divided country, you just gave the perfect source of hate indoctrination. Go ahead and tell a 6-year old Serbian kid that Muslims hate Santa... and that the Easter bunny is on a short leash. You got yourselves a whole generation of little Ratkos. Bice Bosne!

Another generation of "Ratkos" is nothing new, what is new is a generation of proud Bosniaks who wont be fooled by the expansionist serbs ever again.

proud Bosniaks, LoL.... LoL@ proud Serbs and proud Croats and proud Bosniacs..
pride shown by kicking the s**t out of "insert nationality that makes up less then 10% in an area of BiH"
We do not even have a proper army, the OSBiH is ridiculously small, and most people have not and will not go through army service, so if we got attacked again by even a quasi serious opponent we would not know what to do...
yes, pride... just like those retards in banja luka and priejdor show their pride by beating up returnees, but if we had a proper army, they wouldn't be able to do s**t..
hahaha
bice srpske! bice bosne!... bice picke materine......
