Exactly the three fingers touching is the correct way, its also the way we cross ourselves also the three outstreched fingers was brought into popularity by Vuk Draskovic in the 90's. For the ones who do not know its symbolises the holy trinity the father the son and the holy spirit. Tito since it seems you have quite a data base of pictures I am sur you also have the one of christ with the Serbian nationalistic symbol. Bunch of diks

yea we know its origin but like alot of things it did take up a sort of newer meaning (or if not meaning, an association) too since it was such a common symbol of the chetniks.
kinda how the kkk ruined white hoods!

it did take up a sort of newer meaning
So how do you feel when you see the cross with the 4 c's on the Serbian uniform ?

LoL, the three fingers as in Jesus style, are joined together... with the "serb" thing they are apart... it was a modification of the christan one, i guess when they re made serb nationalism in the 90ties....

I think the whole three finger thing ( or two or one finger thing) is absolutely hilarious. I believe it is supposed to represent recognition of the sky-daddy mythological god that came to earth and became an undead carpenter and that this being blessed Serbs. LOL.
I can see how it can be interpreted as a middle finger though for those who recognize it as Serbo-Xtian crazy bat $hit nationalism.

The three-fingered salute is an expression of Serbian patriotism in the 90s. Vuk Draskovic (an opposition leader, who hated and was hated by Milosevic) was the one who used it first at a protest rally against Milosevic no less. Equating it with Milosevic is ridiculous. Today it is used to express patriotism as well by the vast majority of Serbs (although most of us hate Milosevic today).
People tend to be very simplistic. Just because Milosevic and Karadzic were in charge during the 90s doesn't mean that they were the creators of Serbian nationalism or its complete representations. Serbian nationalism has been around for a while. Those guys just happened to be in leadership positions at the time. That is our misfortune more than anything.
