I thought you really went to Albania and I was looking for pics...but you just saw it form the border...anyway is better than nothing Actually, what i wanted to say is that since I noticed how fantastic that part of the region is...I can only imagine how South Albania ( N. Epirus for us ) is. I just hope you guys keep it that way... I heard Albania - Greece will build a new customs point in that region which will really screw up the wildlife preserves in the area Also, a lot of byzantine heritage needs to be protected too.

i know its beautiful and it may have things in common with Greece but it does not make it greek, the way your minds goes unbelivable but i should not be suprised. if you wanna live in a dream like the serbs then be my guest. its albanian populated and it has always been, its not albanians who ethnic cleansed greeks i believe its the other way around, we all know what happened to cameria, if its a greek place than you never had to go that far as to wipe out the albanian in cameria so please stop with the nonsense. yeah i agree LONG LIVE ALBANIA, together with N " Epirus" forever!! good luck! mimi...i am not a hardcore nationalist. Nor am I the type of person that advocates changing borders... But I swear, if I hear about cameria one more time..I might just enlist. You guys should be happy and not complain too much because if you ask me...We got shafted with the Epirus Deal back in the day. There is nothing but Greek or if you prefer...Hellenized monuments all over the place. N. Epirus should of went to Greece...

Now I dont support any border changes myself, but you've really got to be kidding me, I know very well the vast majority of those "Greeks" in Epirus(the Greek side) are either Albanian descent or Vlach descent. What a huge coincidence that most Epirotes last names are 5 letters long and most Albanian last names are 4 letters long, and I think we're all well aware of what it takes to make a last name Greek(add a S at the end), most real Greeks have long 10-letter+ last names. Oh you guys really got the bad side of the deal, you ethnically cleansed and expelled Albanian Muslims from present-day Thesportia/Preveza and got away with it. Now imagine if Greece had never done that, You know very well what the ethnicity of the region would've been today , so don't start complaining that you got the bad side of the deal malaka.

NO what Greece did to cameria was not fair, you cant expect us to just forget about it, they deserve the mention and some kind of closer. Albania have not done anything to greeks, thats the diffrence.

^^^ first off...i dont represent " you greeks ". secondly, i never thought about the epirus issue until i actually went there. third, i was just emphasizing the greek character of the region since most of the threads i see are on your "chams ".
and yes..why dont we analyze the " chams " a bit. They were a muslim group of ppl that tried to betray a nation that was at war defending its freedom. your beloved " arvanites " would be rolling in their graves...

Here we go again with the albanian vlach descent theory...if you claim illyrian lineage than wouldnt there be a connection with us greeks anyway ? so whats your point here ? The ethnic cleansing bit is just as funny as fyroms theories are... ;D Anyway...there is an agreement regarding greek rights in North Epirus...there is no such agreement regarding you guys in the South. Relax ppl...

They were a muslim group of ppl that tried to betray a nation that was at war defending its freedom. your beloved " arvanites " would be rolling in their graves... Quite frankly I dont care about arvanites, they dont feel albanian so w/e, this is about the so called 'greek character' of epirus or even greek macedonia, 50-100 years these places where by far non-greek which is clearly evident by the fact that to this day people in both those regions still speak slavic, vlach, or albanian, greece should've focused on taking their lands in asia minor which was clearly greek not expanding north into foreign lands. It's too late to change borders and Albania does not have any plans on taking Cameria away from you, so you can stop crying and trying to convince everyone of the 'greekness' of it. I must say I also find it really sad and pathetic how some of you Greeks try to dehumanize the Chams by calling them traitors or nazi-collaborators. Like it or not, it was an ETHNIC CLEANSING, heres the definition for you ethnic cleansing –noun the elimination of an unwanted ethnic group or groups from a society, as by genocide or forced emigration.

Ask yourself why did we get rid of the Chams but left our Muslim population in Komotini... intact? Did the Chams really do something to us to hate them that much?

You tell me....Anyways if you're talking about Muslims in Thrace, thats because you had to agree to some terms with Turkey, something that you didn't have to do with Albania. You guys got the short end of the stick when it came to Asia Minor, but do not come here and complain that Albania is occupying your land, thats BS and you know it. Albania gave the Greek minority privileges that Cams never had from 1912-WW2. You guys found the opportunity to rid yourselves of an ethnic minority and you took it, good job!

Cham issue is a dead and is none existant issue.
Sad day this is, that's why the sooner Albania get's into the E.U all these propagandas will stop ? Not only that you'll get to respect the Greek Epirote minorities and your claims to Pelasgian or Atlantis will be a thing of the past as you'll be educated REAL education not post communist craps.
We'll be glad to have you onboard with us as a E.U member with your South ALbania intact as Greece hasn't got greater Greece policies now, that was last century.
