What are your thoughts ?
I think America will try and over throw the current Iranian Government and replace them with a pro-American Government.

No, the American people has had enough; and Bush no longer has any real power; and Congress doesnt have any interest in such a conflict anymore.

" replace them with a pro-American Government."
Yes by all means. Their success is so self evident in Iraq where the population has been pushed under the influence of the extremist imams as opposed to being ruled by the secularist Baathists.
Bush should not be allowed to inspect an anthill much less to bring such misfortune to so many. Anyway, like MD said, 'Bushism' is seeing its last days from what it seems. Oil interests should not be allowed to go so far as to devastate entire regions.
Iranian youth has become westernized in a sense that it has never been so influenced by various cultural influences from the west in its existence of Iran. Radicalizing them would be a stupid decision but knowing Bush stupid is never out of question but this time there is no sufficient support or sufficient time for such course of events. It took many years for this youth to be influenced and a moronic move like war would destroy that in seconds.
Building something takes time destroying it does not.

There was a recent article on the news about this issue. The article showed that more than six months ago Bush received notice from intelligence sources that Iran more than 4 years ago stopped the pursuit of creating nuclear weapons. Bush when asked about it denied being provided exact information about the new intelligence. Well it was further discovered that as little as three weeks ago(from today) both Bush and Cheney were given an overview once again on the intelligence and even the White House press secretary acknowledged this. Well Bush denied it up until around 5 days ago. Here is the interesting part! Even though given the latest intelligence info on Irans Nuclear program showing that they are not pursuing nuclear weapons Bush still stated "This does not change a thing!"
This is scary because it shows that he has complete contempt for the views of the majority of the American people, that he doesn't care one bit about telling the American people the truth and that he intends to go to war with Iran before he leaves office in January a year from now.
IF people thing Iraq is bad they should really be scared of what will happen with Iran where the population is almost 3 times the size of Iraqs.
Bush and his cronies are some of the most deranged and evil men in history no better than Stalin and Hitler.
I think we will reach a point of being on the brink of war but it will be stopped at the last minute due to the press and the pressure the American people, military and the world populations will put on them.(At least I hope!!)

I agree Nikilianos. It's alarming to see Bush still pursuing this despite reports he's received from the intelligence community that Iran indeed posed no threat.
American past Presidents have been harassing the Iranians for a long time, in fact it was past U.S administrations who put Saddam in power in the first place, supplied him of his weapons of mass destruction and we then saw the the Iraqi - Iran conflict in action being orchestrated by the U.S.
The other day there was an articles on BBC the European allies are also getting involved by pressuring Iran. So this may have dire consequences if war does happen ? as Iran not only has three times the population of Iraq, but actually has a real army.
Hope so ! Who ever a beginning of a revolution is happening - Ron Paul. He may not have the numbers but at least we're seeing some interesting developments by the American citizens. They have just about had enough.
Ron Paul is plastered all over youtubes, web sites etc;

Aadmin to replace the current Iranian government with a pro-American Government. I'm afraid civilian casualties will result.

I think what America could do is simply launch ahe major air-strike against the countries infrastructure and so leave it terrified and obedient: major cities, industrial centers, some historical centers, etc. etc. If organized right, this could all be done in a few hours, if a once a preemptive strike is done against Iran's air defenses. That alone would suffice. People should realize that America is still THE world power.

Ron Paul has gained more financial contributions than any other Republican I believe (The Money Bomb) and has some really good , radical political views. He might be the sleeper given all the other candidates are so so. As far as Iran goes, the US is lining the boarders as we speak. Now weather they will move in is the question but I can't imagine it's for nothing. Rex: I thought you were a Ralph Nader supporter?
