How is it that the Black population in America has been reduced by 1/3rd of the percentage they once were since segregation? Indeed, why is it that Jewish, Irish and Italian Americans (I use these 3 as examples because they are the best known examples) who were also forced/encouraged to live in ghettoes managed to dominate all aspects of America's economic and political system while Black Americans haven't? It's not racial or economic prejudice (for Jews, Irishmen and Italians faced all that and more when they arrived in America). It is a simple thing called Leftism. Specifically it is abortion and affirmative action but also many other things. Black women have disproportionably more abortions than any other racial or ethnic group in America. The Leftist idea of abortion is literally killing off Blacks faster than any other catastrophe that has every befallen Blacks in America. Of course, Jews, Irishmen and Italians never had to face the catastrophe that is abortion for they rose to power in an era where such things were at best frowned upon and at worst illegal. Next is affirmative action (also known as "racial quotas") which has sapped Black ghettoes of all it's most talented and intelligent people. Jews, Irishmen and Italians never had racial quotas thus all their most talented and intelligent people stayed in the ghettoes and were forced to make those ghettoes more bearable to live in (for no one outside the ghettoes would have hired a Jew, Irishmen or Italian unless they themselves were those things which they usually weren't or if they were they would usually try to hide it best they can in order to be accepted by the general population). Now this is just two things from Leftist ideology that has desecrated Black America and reduced it to a shadow of it's former self. There are many other Leftist beliefs which have helped destroy Black America (among them welfare) but I don't have the time to list them here at this particular moment. Finally (and somewhat unrelated) I would like to add that Black military deaths in America's wars have always been proportionable to the amount of Blacks in the American military which has always been proportionable to the amount of Blacks living in America.

Yes. It has decreased by 1/3rd in the past 50 years. I read/calculated that somewhere on the net but now am unable to find it.

The same was thought of the Irish but the Irish ended up being assimilated by American culture (now there are over 30,000,000 Irish descendents living in America) and their numbers swindled. So too shall the numbers of Hispanics in America.

Here are the nmber for historical African populations in America?
African Americans in the United States[29] Year Number % of total population Slaves % in slavery 1790 757,208 19.3% (highest) 697,681 92% 1800 1,002,037 18.9% 893,602 89% 1810 1,377,808 19.0% 1,191,362 86% 1820 1,771,656 18.4% 1,538,022 87% 1830 2,328,642 18.1% 2,009,043 86% 1840 2,873,648 16.8% 2,487,355 87% 1850 3,638,808 15.7% 3,204,287 88% 1860 4,441,830 14.1% 3,953,731 89% 1870 4,880,009 12.7% - - 1880 6,580,793 13.1% - - 1890 7,488,788 11.9% - - 1900 8,833,994 11.6% - - 1910 9,827,763 10.7% - - 1920 10.5 million 9.9% - - 1930 11.9 million 9.7% (lowest) - - 1940 12.9 million 9.8% - - 1950 15.0 million 10.0% - - 1960 18.9 million 10.5% - - 1970 22.6 million 11.1% - - 1980 26.5 million 11.7% - - 1990 30.0 million 12.1% - - 2000 36.6 million 12.3% - -
Another thing I've noticed is that immigration is probably factor. Their hasn't been a massive amount of African immigration to the U.S. since slavery ended.
European immigration has constantly decreased the size of their population from the birth of the U.S. to the end of it's peak.
I think the argument regarding abortion and affirmative action becomes valid after the 1960s, when abortion was legallized and affirmative action occurs.
According to a source used by Golberg in the book the number of African Americans would probably be close to 55 million if not for the disproportionality of abortions and clinics in their community.
