Ah c'mon MiG, don't be so ignorant. It's still alive and you know it. They just passed the baton on to willing participants. Medimurje is right. So if there is a problem with such things, and the public is very well aware of it, why not take to the streets and do something about it?

This is something I talk to the people about back home many times (thoose who are of like thinking) but they feel powerless; because even if they are becoming into the majority; they fell it's a tough task. And it is going to be a tough task to overthrow these people and mentalities. Hopefully with time. I think also seeing as Croatia really is not free, I doubt they would want to be arrested for something seen as going against the grain. It's impossible, so they live with it.

Well last year alone there were a number of demonstrations in Zagreb regarding working conditions, wages, hospital system, vetrans compensation, education system etc...
Don't worry you wont get arrested. I attended 2 last year. They were both regarding for fair treatment of vetrans from the war and increase in disability pensions. No one got hurt or arrested etc... I mean there were people going nuts about mesic and the likes with all sorts of banners and as long as the crowd was not violent the police just let us walk by.

Well by turnout you mean what was resolved??
If yes then not much. When I retire I will probably get a few Euro a month for my time in the military at home.

It's a shame the war vets can't get some decent respect. If anything, they're the fathers and mothers of the modern Croatia. I'd sure as hell be pissed at my politicians if they swept me under the carpet like that. It's time to take to the streets. It's probably time for a revolution.

Svasta, sada se mjeri znacajnost covjeka po koliko znamenitih osoba su mu prisutni na pogrebu? Zar cemo i to poceti brojati? Ma, bilo sto, samo da mogu nakraju ispasti ispravan...zar ne? Ipak je to neko objektivno merilo. Sigurno necu obracati paznju mislima danasnjih kvazi-Ustasa.

By turnout, I meant in numbers how many people were there; the result as you said not good, but it will get better.
It is also a disgrace how the treat war veterans, but remember even western countries such as Australia treated many of theirs the same until many many years later...re Vietnam...at then end of the day, who cares if they recognise you, you have to recognise yourself and be happy with the choice you made. No point stressing about getting recognition from above because it may never happen.

I see well I think close to 3000 people. Maybe a little bit more.
Ah no problems i'm not stressing about anything. They give this or that it really does not bother me or play on my mind. I went to these rallies for the people who really are not as fortunate as I. Even though out of all the people there I only knew about 3, one feels like you are brothers so sticking together even though nothing eventuates means more than money. Not sure if that makes sense.
