Bucharest. New Serbian passports being issued to the citizens of Kosovo and Metohija as well represent the biggest problem in suspension of visa regime for traveling to the EU countries, Blic informed.
According to the edition the EU is considering several options for settlement of this problem. One of them is that visa is nevertheless required for Kosovo citizens having the new Serbian biometric passport. This means that the EU countries want additional check of eventual passengers. The problem is not of political nature since even the EU countries opposing Kosovo independence suggested the authorities in Belgrade not to issue Serbian passports in Kosovo and Metohija. The basic reason is fear from migrations from Kosovo.
However, while Belgrade on one side is progressing well towards suspension of visa regime for Serbia citizens, the authorities on the other side would by not issuing passports to Kosovo citizens practically admit not to consider them as the citizens of Serbia. One of the conditions for visa liberalization is that the police can arrest and bring to justice certain individual what is practically impossible when Kosovo citizens are concerned.
Over several-month diplomatic initiative by Home Minister Ivica Dacic is primarily aimed to assure the colleagues from the EU that new Serbian passports are absolutely safe and that their issuance follows strict checking.
‘We want to suspend visa regime with Serbia and not with Kosovo and we have a dialog on that issue with Serbia and not with Kosovo. The EU cannot negotiate and agree something with one state and then enforced that for another state as well’, the Swedish Minister for migrations said.
The fear of migration by Kosovo Albanians to the EU countries is considerable. Some countries, such as Germany for example, still have not solved the problem of Kosovo Albanians that came as refugees to that country.
This minister is a buffoon. The EU have not recognised Kosovo, so by extension, Kosovo should be treated as only a province of Serbia. These people who walk this tightrope usually fall over when things like this eventuate.
This is the real reason.
