In his blog he wrote that NYT twisted his statements. He writes that what he wanted to say is that the majority of the population living in Athens were Arvanites.

Sounds about right to me, in line with historical records. What's great about it though is that decades from now people will perhaps cite his NYT interview and not his blog

Don't tire yourselves, Patrinoi are all these that Soyuz said. PS. Attica in the times of the Revolution had two important cells of greek as mother tongue, Athens and Megara, that had a population of about 11.000, with about 4.000 Turks, in Athens and is other places around Attica, and 7.000 Arvanites in the villages. kleftouria.blogspot.com/2008/04/1821-2.html

STOP ! I talk with some Greek 'friends' ! They say to me , that Dimou in his website have accused NY Times ! He claim only Attica as Albanophone and the journalist manipulate it into Greece as Albanophone ! I don't speak Dimotikhi , but you could search in internet on your own !
