would this be a bad time? i intend to stay close to two months..so i would be staying into end of march..but would this be a bad time to arrive?
i figure i can be in the more southern parts (mostar, neum) even parts of croatia until march. and then head to sarajevo, banja luka, etc in march.
its just that in terms of flight deals..and really timing, this would be deal.

Man I'm prob going in Dec-Feb. I can't remember the last time I was there in winter. Generally speaking it's more shithouse everywhere in winter but for the Serbian part in January we have Christmas and slavas so it's known as a pretty happening time. You should go earlier & go to Banja Luka on Jan 7th for Christmas.

the thing is though, unlike some of you who are close to bosnia and visit regularly, sometimes shorter visits..i am coming all the way from canada. so i am staying there 1.5/2 months.
therefore, the way i see things, large part of bosnia is nice and maybe even ideal to visit in february and then in march should be everywhere. (krajina, etc)
but tell me if i'm wrong.

A trip from Sweden costs about 200€ buss/flight depending on season and about 1000€ with car. And thats only the money issue. Even those who are traveling from Austria has to pay carina, putarina etc etc my friend who drives from Austria (Leipzig) goes about 200€(car) two way. Bus from Austria costs like 20-50€

Bus from Austria costs like 20-50€ 200 euros for a flight is a hell of a lot better than 600-1000 euros for those of us coming from North America.. although I've only been there twice, flying (and transit) for nearly a whole day is not appealing at all. No comparison between those of us in NA and Australia.. a much bigger pain than coming from elsewhere in Europe.

Manijak it's really shithouse!!! Unless of course you want to spend hours shoveling snow in your selo or put up with the snobby angry people in the big cities cause it's cold; don't go UNLESS like me you also like skiing so you also have something else to look forward to :-)
It's not worth it just to save a few hundred $$$, I mean even in peak times you can get great deals if you really look around.
