Some I listened to (among best songs in its own category in my view) Atomik Harmonik - Kdo Osvojil Bo Moje Srce (Slovenija) Note: Slow songs with non-Balkan flavor (more Austrian-like) Lana - Zacaran (Croatia) Georgiev, Hej Ti (Montenegro) Hari Mata Hari - Sreca (Bosnia and Hercegovina) Zeljko Joksimovic, Ljubavi (Serbia) Grafa - Ostaviash Sledi (Bulgaria) Note: Strong western influence in the songs. Edward Maya & Vika Jigulina - Stereo Love (Romania) Note: Strong western influence in the songs. Nora Istrefi - Secret (Albania) Note: Strong western influence in the songs. Giannis Ploutarxos - Thisavros (Greece) Akın - Adrenalin (Turkey) Note: Strong western influence in the songs. PS: Could not find anything I liked from 'Macedonia' - also trong western influence in their songs.

All in all I only like (by far) music from Serbia, Greece and Bosnia and somewhat from Croatia and Montenegro.
Albania, Bulgaria, 'Macedonia', Turkey and Romania are simply too western to even relate to those songs. Slovenia could may as well be Denmark meaning taste that is so foreign to me and too distant to like (to slow, void of passion). Albania and Turkey have too many high pitched (Asian like) singers for my taste while Turkish to me doesn't sound like most acoustically pleasing language I ever heard.
Feel free to post your opinions as I did but in a manner that is self contained.

I like these ones from the Macedonians, even if they are more "western". I wouldn't call them westernised though, just modern. Bobby Simonovski - Ljubam druga, a te sakam ♫ Karolina Gočeva feat. Sky Wikluh - Kraj - OFFICIAL VIDEO ♫ This one is really, really good. I like it. Vlatko Lozanoski - Lozano - Sonce Ne Me Gree Although I don't know about this one. ;D ;D ;D He does say picka a lot, haha. Slatkaristika - FM (HD by Jovanov Records)

Yes admin, Balkanoids want to europeanize their culture ... But there is still young singers who sing àllaballkanika ! Mariola Kaçani: Poni: Rozana Radi (even if she sings a lot of westernized songs): (she made an album with this kinf of songs). Marie Lajcaj: Nora istrefi can actually also sing traditional ... Some traditional songs by Ermal Fejzullahu: (in duo with Sinan Hoxha) you can also check at "maratona e këngës popullore" on youtube, there are some good songs.

It's funny, I don't even listen to the lyrics of songs most of the time but it still makes a difference to how much I like it when I can understand it if I wanted to.

Here are a few random ones, some of them are oldies but they are more authentic than the one Emperor chose.
And if you were gonna pick something that is influenced by western music you could have picked something that is more rythmic, like this.

Yes, also Turkish males have high pitched voices, not females though.
Ebru gundes and many famous Turkish woman singers are low pitched.
