You choose to ignore the GREEK sources that I posted clearly defining for you that the whole Island in fact did not vote, that only the GC community voted and perhaps a minimum number of TC. Go and take a look at the referendum and see with ur own eyes who voted before u start adding shi.t to the mix again.
The minorities did not want to be joined with Greece. Its that simple, they are not Greek or christian why should they join with them? how can u ask such a question.

You should know that at this time Cyprus was not independent but still under British sovereignty. Perhaps some Turks prefered the Greek rather than the British king. Im not in those Turks' head I can not tell you why they signed for the enosis.
But its not important if and how many Turks signed...more important is that (we can say) all Greek Cypriots (who made up about 90% of the island's population) wanted the enosis. And the Brits would have given it to us...Im sure....if it hadnt this geographic position...no one would regard Turkey then...or the turkish minority.....Turkey wouldnt be able to do anything against it. The same way they couldnt prevent us from getting Crete and the Dodecanese...those places had turkish minorities, too.
GB had an interest in separating the island...it could take place only...with their tacit approval. Otherwise Turkey wouldnt have acted that self-confident and fast while we were dumbfounded in our sleep...

Demo, i wouldnt support the Turks on this one too much. Niko Sampson may have wanted to annihilate the TC's but the Turks not only wanted, but succeeded in annihilating the Armenians. So when we talk about Cyprus, lets put things in perspective here. We are talking about the Cypriots. What I am conveying is that the issues came from both sides. The Greek military junta got this crazy idea about enosis, and caused much problems. The Turks did not leave after coming into Cyprus to stop the coup. There are Greeks that has taken responsibility, and then there are those that deny any wrong doing, as if enosis was what all Cypriots wanted. And of course, the Turks had their own agenda concerning Cyprus. So it was a two way street. I am sure there has been Turks in recent times, when speaking of Greeks, that has commented as Nikos Sampson has. But for me, in this day and age, with ancient Greeks contributions to mankind and thinking above the rest, you would have to agree that a comment such as what Nikos Sampson expressed is quite backward.

Way do you say that enosis was a crazy ideea? If both parts wanted this, Greece and greek cypriots. Sorry but you are full of BS. I'm watching you on the net for many years now and i still dont understand why you hate Greece if you say that you are greek.
