ADDIS ABABA - Serbia's Foreign Minister Vuk Jeremic said on Friday that a number of African countries had denied the claims by media in Pristina that said they had decided to recognize the unilaterally declared independence of Kosovo or had already done so."In the Central African Republic, for example, a great deal of money was given to get the recognition, but money does not always get you what you desire. You cannot buy everything with money, and in the case of the Central African Republic, that has been confirmed," Jeremic told Tanjug after a three-day visit to Ethiopia.- "The press in Pristina reported they too could change their view. We received confirmation that they do not recognize Kosovo and have no intention of doing so. We can say that the most influential countries in Africa have stayed true to the principles of international law and respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations," Jeremic remarked. www.tanjug.rs/news/31505/false-announcements-of-kosovos-recognition.htm

so it's up to a handful of illiterate peasants to decide whether a state is real or not?

No, it's up to a handful of powerful people with armies and guns to decide whether a state is real or not. But you should know this better than me, after all my capital wasn't laid waste to by these guys, yours was.

well i can go up to any american soldier, or kfor troop in kosovo and tell them that kosovo is a quasi-state and there definitely won't be a problem. in fact they probably don't even want to be there but think it's way more relaxed than afghanistan.

yeah i don't think it'd be that rife with opportunity/excitement in afghanistan, the other major option for an american soldier.

And what makes them illiterate peasants? In turkish there is an old saying: "If you cannot bend a hand, kiss it"... I think you guys should learn to respect these men, for they have gone against an army and defeated it on many occasions.

According to who^? So far all the official statements from the Government of Mali are saying "didn't-recognize". ""Consequently, the Malian presidency would wish to inform both the national and international community that the president has not yet signed any document recognizing the Republic of Kosovo and reserves the right to take appropriate measures to identify and punish the authors of the false document," the statement concluded."www.globaltimes.cn/content/728917.shtmlThese games they're playing with us hey rex lol
