Why don't you blame the Rus' people for betraying the Slavic folk for converting to Orthodoxy, or even the Slavs in the Byzantine Empire for going against their native religion?

vuk betrayed lazar with the battle in kosova After though, Stefan Lazarevic became an ottoman vassal while Vuk did not. It was the right choice because Ottomans at that time had no direct interest in Serbia, they fought the Golden Horde successor empire the Timurids in the Asia, while Holy Roman Empire (HRE), which was neither Holy nor Roman, places an eye on Lazarevic realm, and besieged two smaller settlements. Ottomans and their vassals were also more humble and morally correct, than Hungarians and HRE. I mean just check Vlad Dracula, who was their vassal. He impaled thousands of innocent people in Bulgaria during his wars against Ottomans.
You're right about Vuk Brankovic though, there was no betrayal, Turks used hit and run tactics, so when Vuk's flank pushed Turkish cavalry back it appear as if they ran away, so Vuk ordered his troops to leave the battlefield, but Turkish horsemen returned to battle and aid the center. You have to understand that in Europe at the time the battles were fought in more chivalric manner and the fleeing troops were usually allowed to run away, so this warfare was something new for the Serbs, and the Christians who didn't took part in fights against the steppe people in general.

also note :
Not talked about much here on this forum but the ottomans had won other battles prior
to the battle of Kosova ....3 of them
so thus had serbians and even Bulgars fighting on Murad's side at the battle of Kosova .
