One thing any Balkanian has to realize is that any Balkanian who is openly spreading inter-Balkan hate is actually serving (being aware/unaware of it is the same since end result (=chaos) is the same) interests of foreign powers who wish to see the region divided and weak and thus easy to manipulate. As a result of the 1990s wars we have a bunch of neo-colonies of the west (or rather colonies of the corporations that rule the west).
In fact the one spreading such hate is doing moct damage to Balkans and their "own" people as well but due their own ignorance (caused by blinding hate) is unaware of the damage they are causing. As a result there are now bunch of Balkanians indoctrinated with blinding nationalism arguing with other in some non-balkan country they reside in (the irony of it all).

If a Serb hates Croats, Turks or Shqiptars then it's out of experience, not ignorance. You know what the pan-something movements are the result of? Ignorance. Ignorance and naivety. Though I'm surprised that somebody who idolises one of the most divisive civilisations in history is in support of a pan-movement. Reeks of hypocrisy, that does. Old men and their stupid dreams have done enough to wreck Serbdom. If you don't put Serbdom first then you put it last.

No youngster you dont get it.
More division and animosity in Balkans means more and more instability and west will use every one of these opportunities to enter a picture as a peacemaker and as a bringer of "light" (which in reality strengthens their overall global position).
Can we really say that any one of the new countries that emerged out of former Yu is actually independent?
They can not make one independent thought much less move.
Examples:
1) One example can be seen observing the speed at which Kosovo was recognized by Montenegro and R.Macedonia (altogether ignoring the will of their respective majorities) and also the fact that both are present in places like Afghanistan under NATO command. Montenegro is producing nothing anymore while it is accumulating more and more debt (government there is using every occasion to foster deeper antagonism between Montenegrin people).
2) Another example is Serbia which is weaker then ever and can not make a move that might be seen as them doubting their 'resolve" to enter EU/NATO which is clearly against their interests while west forces them to keep distance from Russia (which is advancing economically). If you watch "Serbian" TV all you see are soaps from India and Turkey (before Latin-American ones were popular) which no-one would have surely demanded. Serbian music itself entered junk mode since 1990s and have further morally deteriorated. When you watch commercials the products being advertised are almost always western in origin (therefore domestic industry is almost dead and soon will be producing nothing).
3) Yet another example is Srpska which is forced in a state that it despises. Ironically Srpska is still maintaining far more independent politics versus say Serbia but is surely still not independent. This show the level at which Serbia has lost its autonomy.
4) Croatia is also another example. It has to make huge economic concessions and sacrifice to EU before entering it. 50,000 jobs are in jeopardy in Croatian shipbuilding industry which will be sacrificed for shipbuilding interests coming from Holland and England without any benefit to Croatia. That is but one example of their industry gradually dying out.
5) Kosovo is probably least independent in Balkans and it is NATO's protectorate where drugs, prostitution and white slavery are major economic industries. Traditional society has not left even a shadow of its once flourishing existence. Change was gradual but steady under NATO eye over the past decade or so. Doubting west in any way is a taboo here, NATO soldier raping a local girl would never reach any media for instance. 70 percent unemployment and no industry whatsoever.
All these are futureless countries which will maintain current neo-colonial status (that ironically most of its people are unaware of due to heavy pro-western propaganda) where companies like Monstanto can freely sell their poisons. Each will have several families on top which will continue robbing their countries blind while serving western corporations and their interests (implemented by their puppets in their so called democracies). These families will maintain their position through maintaining divisions and, if necessary, creating new ones (such as now in Serbia over so called gay rights where issue is created where it never before existed, or over status of Vojvodina even though majority of people there are Serbs).
What is the F point hating another Balkanian nationality when you and person you are interacting with are probably not even in Balkans. Neither one of you will likely spend more then 6-12 months TOPS combined for the rest of your lives in Balkans during various short vocations. Your kids will be assimilated in countries you live in and many of you probably even now barely speak the 'native' language you claim as yours. You essentially belong to whatever place you will end up living in. You will die there and contribute there. Your kids will become assimilated there and one day your grand-grand-son will answer a question to where his grand-grand-parent was from with something like "....somewhere from south east Europe, not sure, not important......" and continue the conversation.
If you do not see this and persist in hate then... congrats... you have been injected by the 'virus' that was produced in some western laboratory... just... please don't spread it to others who are still healthy. At least have a small bit of you that is decent and that has something decent.
PS: Views like yours have caused all the destructions in the past 100 years (1912,1913, 1914-1921, 1941-1949,1991-1995,1998-1999,2001) and after each Balkans was further weakened and enslaved by foreign powers. Everything in our region was decided either in Berlin, Moscow, London, Paris, Istanbul or Washington. Same is now and will be same in the future. Don't delude yourself thinking you have a saying cause you don't. Your are puppet, hell your respective Balkanian government is a puppet and you are here foolishly hating on another fellow Balkanian?!!

Now I am going to post something that unites us rather then divides us... that beautiful music from various Balkan regions. ----- Something from heart from Croatian singer Miroslav Škoro-Ne vjeruje srce pameti (Lyrics) ------ Now some Serbian heat ------- Bosnian soul at its best from Mata Hari ------ Something Makedonsko with gorgeous Ohrid with legendary Tose

Not acknowledging that non-Serbs wish to slit our throats and take our land doesn't benefit us, old man. It's pragmatic to see the constant collaborators of foreign powers as hostile and to keep them under a watchful eye. That aside, it's not divisiveness that caused Serbs to falter last time, it was the lack of will among Serbs to fight and to commit necessary atrocities.
But yes, it's a shame that Serbs didn't kill enough traitors amongst their own ranks before embarrassments like Montenegro and Vojvodina started to surface. If that's what you meant then fine, but Serbs mustn't (under any circumstance) try to ally themselves with anybody else in the Balkans in the long term if they don't wish to watch their grandchildren be butchered.

I think you two are both extreme. Aadmin makes good points', he's only telling the truth when saying our division strengthen the West. Novus you're points are valid too no matter how sombre or dark the truth of the reality is. Serbs have let the sham gone too far under the premise of being/needing "to be tolerant". What have Serb got in return? More demands from EU, more reforms, ie, more sacrifices.
A balance of your two beleifs would be best for the time being (time isn't in any of our hands anyway). Novus speaks matters of fact, admin is a visionary/foresees.

I agree. Petty inter-ethnic divisiveness has gotten in the way of potential greatness time and time again the Balkans.
All Novus's ideas would do is incite reactionary elements and mobilize them further against Serbia. Slitting the throats of "traitors" will do nothing but WEAKEN internal Serbian unity. The bottom line is, I'd rather have friends than enemies as I have absolutely nothing to gain from having an enemy while a friend can be of much value. Its in our interest to maintain friendly relationships with as our neighbors. As long as we are guided by this principle of interest, friendly relations with neighboring countries shall be beneficial.
The bottom line is, Serbs need to stop living in the past and remove ourselves completely to this neo-medieval mentality that enslaves us. Its counter-productive and does nothing but halt progress. I honestly can't wait till the older generations die out. Good riddance and godspeed I say. Their antiprogressive ideas have tortured Serbia for far too long and hindered any potential we have. The past is an afterthought, the future is my only concern.

I simply do not understand how divisiveness and inter conflict can ever be perceived as strength.
Can there be even one example of how this is strength? (I would love to see that!)

Don't even pretend that your ideas are "modern" or "progressive." They're stupid and traitorous. The only people you end up serving with them are those in America who consider themselves Progressivists like the Clintons. And for what? In the end you'd gain the "friendship" of those who have no business being your friend. Our "friendly" neighbours use peace to regroup and resupply their forces while they eye our territories. Nihil novi sub sole. Si vis pacem, para bellum.

I'd rather kiss foreign ass and extract as much benifit from having a relationship with them as possible. Whether "they" hold us in contempt is absolutely irrelevant. The common Croat can hate us all he wants, I could give a fuck less. Being on good terms with the Croatian government however, has countless economic and political benifits. There is no friendship between nations, only interest. I never said friendshipI said friendly relations, by which I meant on stable inter-governmental terms. Anyone or any entity (such as a state) in this case, has business being our "friend" if we can use them to serve our interests and furthur our cause. You're talking about friendly relations on an entirely irrational, emotional level; I'm talking about them and about fostering them purely to serve the interests of the Serbian nation.
And what the hell stipulates that a country can't be prepared to defend its borders if it has to while maintaining relationships in its interest. Israel kisses American and European ass like none other. They also have the most well trained military on earth, no Arab country has even come close to defeating the Israelis. They are a nation of several million, and yet they nuclear weapons. They have a very solid economy and honestly, a bright future.

Israel has friends. The Arabs don't. Whose winning in terms of literally anything? Israel. And its ONLY because they have the countries that matter on their side.

It's a little different when it's Israel that is funding the foreign policy their "friends" are conducting, this is why it's the other way around - the USA and EU partners are kissing Israels' ass, not vise-versa.
Just look up how many times Netanyahu has crossed the lines with his rhetoric and the USA just takes it. Look at his demands.... what have the Americans demanded from him... besides patience?

The Arabs have much more sympathy and many more allies than Israel. All Israel has is the United States. That's literally the only ally it has. Now, if you were smart enough to suggest that Serbs do what the Israelis did then I'd agree. A perfect example of subterfuge at work. But you're not so I won't. Instead, you're giving me some (rather poor quality) propaganda and it's quite sad. I expect more from a Serb. Indeed. Ever since I saw the Israeli PM insult the US president then get a standing ovation from congress right after, I knew the Israelis had the US by the balls. The Croats, Turks and Shqiptars have nothing on the Israelis. It's more than a stratagem for them, it's like an art. In order to buy US politicians it might cost a billion dollars but remember that Israel gets billions of dollars a year from the US. At this point they're literally bribing US politicians (and funding black propaganda) with their own money. The smartest thing they do is spend money against anybody who doesn't swear fealty to them. As far as that is concerned, Serbs should learn from them. The rest? Not so much.

Interesting topic....very true summation of the big-picture in the balkans.
When I was in Tivat a few months ago I actually got to see first-hand a taste of this "neo-colonialism". There's a new high-class port community called "Porto Montenegro" that is basically a small town worth billions of dollars on the coast of Montenegro, where rich Americans and Western Europeans enjoy fine-dining and park their Yachts.
Serbs/Montenegrins there are the bottom-caste, they are the janitors, workers, waiters and assistants to the Nordics and Americans running everything. It was quite unreal to see.
I agree with Uz in that both Aadmin and Novus have good points, but both are extreme and ultimately wrong in their approach.
My critique of Aadmin:
1. The Neo-colonists are dangerous to us, but so are the Croat, Bosniak and Albanian identities.
2. Croat, Bosniak and Albanian identities were created through Colonialism. (Croats are Serbs manipulated by the Vatican, Bosniaks by the Ottomans, Albanians are present in Yugoslav lands due to Ottomans).
3. It was always the Serbs who wished independence from outside forces and unity (Yugoslavia), it was these aforementioned peoples who caused disunity (Croats, Bosniaks, Albanians) and looked to foreigners rather than Balkanians.
4. Serbs historically created our disunity by siding with foreigners against our own (Croats and Bosniaks), we should fix this mistake, and not ignore it, for history will repeat itself.
5. Promoting identities built on betrayal and foreign allegiance (Croatian, Bosnian) is promoting colonialism and weakening our unity in the long-run.
My Critique of Novus
1. Simply attacking other people will not solve our problems, violence is to defend only.
2. They hate us, but out of ignorance. Cultural and Economic hegemony is our way to win our neighbors over.
3. Undermining Croat/Bosniak identity while showing no outright hatred is strongest method to weakening their pseudo-nationalism and strengthening their assimilation.
4. We need to institutionalize Serbian schools abroad and perhaps Chetnik non-fascist universities across the Balkans to represent our national/cultural interests.
5. I agree we need more matyrs. However these developments would foster such a thing.
6. We must create stronger relationships with Israel, who greatly sympathize with us and are one of the strongest political and military forces in the region. If Israel is to ally with us staunchly, US will follow.

I think you might've misread my posts because you're not actually disagreeing with me. Except with the last three points. The first, I disagree that universities should be anything but private enterprises. The second, a corpse is useless to Serbdom and I would very much like there to be as few dead Serbs patriots as possible because we need as many as we can get. The third, Israel is neither friend nor foe. "Bog visoko a Rusija daleko" applies to all our "allies." We should, however, exploit any friendship offered to us. In the same the Vietnamese did when they were at war with the USA.

yugoslav lands ? and Albanians are from where ? Do you mean Shqiptars? They're from Caucasia. Brought over by the Ottomans in the 16th century, remember? Think of them as uninvited guests who won't leave.
