^ One thing for sure, Albanians arn't even derived from Thracians....we already knew this, as the Illyrians too. So whom do the Shqiptar-Albanians originate from? ;D
Pyrro, a strong Russia is the key!

UZ chillax man. Everyone does this, you guys do it too. The only difference is that we actually have a valid foundation. I don't care what he's talking about. I was responding to his first sentence which is a flat-out lie. I was not lying. Someone in the Serbia forum deleted my thread. Maybe it wasn't you. For your information there are more than one moderators there.

"The strongest evidence, however, comes not from the meaning of the proper names (which is always open to doubt) but from their structure. Most Illyrian names are composed of a single unit; many Thracian ones are made of two units joined together. Several Thracian place-names end in -para, for example, which is thought to mean 'ford', or -diza, which is thought to mean 'fortress'. Thus in the territory of the Bessi, a well-known Thracian tribe, we have the town of Bessapara, 'ford of the Bessi'. The structure here is the same as in many European languages: thus the 'town of Peter' can be called Peterborough, Petrograd, Petersburg, Pierreville, and so on. But the crucial fact is that this structure is impossible in Albanian, which can only say 'Qytet i Pjetrit', not 'Pjeterqytet'. If para were the Albanian for 'ford', then the place-name would have to be 'Para e Besseve'; this might be reduced in time to something like 'Parabessa', but it could never become 'Bessapara'. And what is at stake here is not some superficial feature of the language, which might easily change over time, but a profound structural principle. This is one of the strongest available arguments to show that Albanian cannot have developed out of Thracian. [42]" Read more: illyria.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=balgarijabulgaria&thread=36046&page=1#ixzz2AhNEMRjaActually what is written above is WRONG. In fact Albanian has many compound words composed after the German or Thracian model. For instance "shpirtmadh" which means "spiritgreat" i.e. spiritually great, great spiritwise, with great spirit, great in spirit i.e. generous (from "shpirt"=spirit and "madh"=big, great). Another example: "pjesëmarrje" which means "part taking", participation from "pjesë"=part and "marrje"=(the act of) taking Actually in my opinion Albanians are Thracians since there are no old words or no words at all (at least to my knowledge) from Dalmatian. The old words of Latin origin (not recent Italian borrowings) are taken from Romanian or Aromanian/Vlach which means the Albanians didn't leave close to Dalmatian in most ancient times. The only problem with my theory is there are some old placenames in Albanian language taken from Latin that could suggest the Albanians have been living in Albania and parts of Macedonia for a long time. For instance Shkup from Latin Scupi (Skopje). But my suspicion is (although I'm not certain) that these are more recent Latin words than the ones borrowed from Romanian or Aromanian.

For your information there are more than one moderators there. You are lying. The other mods don't delete threads, only alter posts when necessary - and they would have said something if they did - which they didn't cause I was the only one logged in at that time.
