I'm not too big on linguistics but I know that in Serbian Valmir would be pronounced as Valjmir, with the stress in the first part- Valj. Albanian pronunciation for you would be Valj mir, with stress in the second syllable instead of the first . Likewise the Serbian name Milos we pronounce as Mil osh. Take my word for it when I say Valmir and names like it are a recent phenomena. Any educated Albanian will tell you the same thing. There is ample historical documentation of names so much as to render needless any further persuasion of you on this point. If you can find a Valmir born before 1970 uncle Rex will sign you over the deed to Vojvodina. As for the mir suffix and its use in Albanian it is doubtless that an Alb got the idea of using it from Slav names. There is no conflict in using it in our Alb names as well as it can be used well in combinations with the said prefixes while remaining aesthetically pleasing. The only coincidence is that Alb in addition to Slav allows for this name structure and while allowing for corresponding meaning however different. I'm not deep into linguistics either I'm going by what I see, in Serbian it wouldn't be "Valj" this has different meaning, it would be "Val". Just like the name the "Val" stays the same, Val is the word meaning `wave` - no need change. Mir being so on. So yes scary coincidence I suppose. I`am not saying this name is Serbian its clearly not but it has origins of Slavic influence. To any Slavic ear this names sounds familiar as there`s.

don't give me that letter crap that ALexander the Great reference could've easily meant regional, as in WE'RE BALKAN MOTHER f**kER! not some p**y ass uptight-trouser f*go lookin renaissance man with hats that belong on elves that strives in life to be at a "status" or bourgeois. If it was written in Italian I would like the source just for entertainment it seems they're just talking s**t to each other lol. Don't defend Hamza he was scum towards the Albanians. You missed this part; He was later freed and went to join his wife and children in Istanbul, and continued to serve in the Ottoman high ranks.who even knows if it was Skanderbeg that released him - and IF it was this Hamza is a real bitch. yea Alexander the great is small stuff ...your right no history there .... I am not defending Hamza .....George Castrioti is defending him bcs same blood and a nephew GC send him to Italy to get detoxed .... Skanderbeg sent him to jail, find me something which states he sent him free... I do not think he did. Plus he was freed just to go back to serving the Turks high in military rank responsible for many Albanian resistance deaths. The Albanians had faith in his capabilities he was considered one of the best and not only does he abandon them in dire times of need, he joins the enemy...
