I'm a second generation American looking for information on my ancestory. I've tried all my research and came up with Patriarchal names back towards the 14th century of 'Nicholas-Savela-Vukash-Marjan-Pejak and lastly Kanosh".
I have heard our family may have lived near the coast and at some point, moved up to the mountains near Ljubotin or Cetinje, Pacaradje.
Is there a 'Pejakovici" Tribe, or is that name part of 'Ljubotinju' ?
Thank you for any assitance.

Firstly, welcome to the forum and secondly this is a great source pertaining to what you're looking for; www.montenegro.org.au/P.htmlPejaković, Ljubotinj (Cetinje); od njih u Tivtu i Nikšiću; u Nikšić doselili iz Kaluškog (Kanjoševog Dola), PaštrovićiPejakovići, bratstvo u Ljubotinju My family comes from the Pješivaca klan, which happens to corelate to the same city as yours; Niksic. Your own source of information seems correct. I would think your tribe as well as Ljubontinju had certain "history" together however they are considered seperate. The same can be said with my klan and yours.
