I was born in Montenegro and my grandpa always told me that he is 100% Montenegrin, but his brother could never make up his mind and changed his identity from Albanian to Montenegrin. My mum says that my grandpa is possibly Albanian in blood but is still Montenegrin somehow. I am in the middle of an identity crisis and I don't know how to identify myself. My dad says his grandparents always said how they were Albanian but were delusional but my mother says they are. My surname is Ljuljdjuraj, in case you're wondering. My dad's mother's surname is Besovic and my mum's surname is Jovanovic. Keep in mind we are not Lulgjurajs nor Ljuljdjurovic.

In my opinion follow the blood and past history no matter what language you speak at home

OP, where exactly were you born in Montenegro, and where did your parents grow up? It couldn't possibly be Podgorica, because then you wouldn't even be asking this question, as you'd already know the answer.
Lulgjuraj is a 100% Malsor family, with origins from the Gruda tribe, specifically from a village named Selisht. Your surname, "Ljuljdjuraj," is just the Serbian/Montenegrin Latin alphabet transliteration of the Albanian name.

Yeah I know the origins but what am I TODAY? Like can it be possible that my great grandfather was Albanian but I'm not due to interracial marriages? I mean apparently Albanians have similar DNA to Macos and all that shit. My family can't agree on it my dad's uncles side says they are Albanian my grandpa's don't agree. My dad's uncle's son who is my uncle also told me that one time someone told me he wasn't pure Albanian and he cried and just identifies himself as catholic.

My great grandfather told my grandpa that apparently they had lived in Montenegro since the 15th century. I don't know a lot to be honest
