Hello to everyone,
i am a historian and my research interests are Albanians in the Balkans during the Ottoman rule and specifically in 18th century. In general my interests are Albanian soldiers, bandits, notables, pirates etc. My research has done progress but any extra help with books or articles would be helpful.

Your best information will come of whats written by many including many outsiders about Ali Pasha during the very early 1800's
He was all of these -Albanian soldiers, bandits, notables, pirates etc- and was also directly and indirectly the Don
of most of the so called well known bandits of greece that later became heroes of the liberation (Arvanitis)
The ottomans had no choice but to make him Pasha ...like making the biggest hero bandit the Deputy marshal so to tame him
