the first one has clear orthodox church music influence.
the second one is what I call "south slavic minor". In serb foklor there is also (what I call) "south slavic major". Those two are exclusive to south slavs (Serbs).
Those two scales in the above songs are different. But the first can be found in many folk Serbian songs as well.

Yes, perhaps 2nd song was bad example, but I definitively heard the music from first (and the type of singing) in some other Serbian songs.
