Rex is from the U.S. In Canada if you have a legal residency immigration card you're allowed to be gone 2 years less a day.....after that you will not be allowed back.... I am not sure what the process is for the U.S.

IF he is a Canadian citizen.... he can stay as long as he wants..there is no problem coming back to Canada..
I know in Greece you can only stay 6 months..because of the 2 year draft into the army... longer than that you are considered a native and will be asked to serve..providing of course you were born there or a first generation Greek..meaning your parents are born in Greece.and you're not...
Maybe that is what he means about Albania...do you guys have the compulsory 2 years draft?

If you are citizen in USA or Canada you can enter or leave at will. No time restriction. I have Canadian and Usa citizenship. From more than five years I live in Usa and any time I enter Canada they just ask me about the Immigration status in usa and that's all.

I believe. there is no time limit. You lose citizenship only if you do certain very specific things, such as joining a foreign military or officially renouncing your citizenship. However, you do have to pay U.S. income taxes as long as you remain a citizen, even if you live and work elsewhere.

If a Canadien citizen goes to America, Albania, or anywhere else longer than 6 months, would that Canadien lose their canadien medical insurance?
A close friend from Canada comes to America (Florida) for the winter, but must return just before the 6 month mark so she can maintain her Canadien medical insurance.
