Serj Tankian, the lead singer of System of a Down, talks to RT about Turkey’s role in preventing
the recognition of the Armenian Genocide, and its involvement in the Nagorno-Karabakh war. An
Armenian-American himself, he also has much of interest to say on the history of Armenia as a
nation, and why many countries, such as the UK, don’t recognize the repression his people
suffered from Turkey.

😢Wherever there is Turkey there is genocide... wherever there is genocide there is Turkey...
NEVER underestimate the power of Good and never ignore the evil of Turkey 🇹🇷 and their utter
denial of ottoman barbarism and genocide...

Romanticized view of the Ottoman Empire and Turkey under Erdogan and disregard

But Serj, I have to say that if anyone is to blame for the recent war in Karabakh/Artsakh
then it's definitely Pashinyan! Turkey simply took advantage of the situation.

Serj is a cool man, but he lives in the wrong state and country. Amerikkka does not, and
will never respect his message. I am willing to bet California brainwashed him to vote for
the New Democratic Fascist party.

Genocide going on in Xinjiang, China, Considering how Uighurs are directly related to Turks.

There's a border war going on now between Azerbaijan and Armenia, with ethnic cleansing
being committed by the Azeri forces with support from Turkey in the disputed region.

@adh87 The fighting stopped months ago. And the fighting wasn't over NK but mainly the
land surrounding it. While NK itself is majority Armenian, the surrounding land was majority
Azeri. Following the collapse of the USSR, they were ethnically cleansed and driven out to
make way for Armenians. 800k Azerbaijanis were pushed out in favor of 150k Armenians.
The recent fighting and treaty that happened took back that land and also Susha (a NK town
which was majority Azeri) but let Armenians hold NK proper. They're still there.

Ask yourself this, why didn't Putin or Russia intervene on behalf of Armenia?? It's because of
that, and because Armenian leader Pashinyan came into power through a color revolution in
2017, and was actually pivoting towards NATO and away from Russia. At the same time he and
his defense minister routinely made threats to annex more territory from Azerbaijan and even
Turkey. In July-2020, there was a brief clash between Azerbaijan and Armenia but it wasn't in
the south where NK was, it was in the north; meaning it wasn't Azerbaijan trying to take back
territory but rather Armenia starting a fight to take more. A senior Azerbaijani officer died.
That's why this conflict erupted.

Russia wants Pashinyan out and so does everyone else in the region, including now 2/3 of
Armenians. The guy talked tough, then provoked a conflict, then went around playing victim,
then lost. Azerbaijan had also wanted to negotiate the Minsk Deal to settle the territory
peacefully, and even that was rejected by Pashinyan and the govt.

Nobody points out that Circassians were wiped out from their own native land (Northwest
Caucasus) and most were killed and now only make up 4% of their own land. Nobody
points out that the Tatars lived in Crimea for almost a millennium and that Slavs only
conquered it in the 1870s and then in the 1930s the Bolsheviks ethnically cleansed them
to where they now only make up barely 10% of the land.

@real Talk You can also tell how Crimean Tatars would kill, pillage and enslave Slavs for
centuries, and how they were a front for much bigger Ottomans - expansionist and genocidal
empire that enslaved and wiped out Slavs in the Balkans. Might help to diversify a bit your
eternal victimhood narrative.
