36. Argentina is often called a rude place to be by the rest of South America
Capital City: Buenos Aires
Population: 45.77 million
It appears there’s something with South America that leaves the rest of the world wondering why locals are so rude. The twist? It’s often other South American countries that have something to say about the people of Argentina, with those in Brazil often referring to Argentinians as cold and impersonal. However, a lot of it is down to social standards.
For example, things like walking in between two people who are talking is seen as highly rude across Argentina, and not knowing how to deal with the situation can see people quickly become frosty. The worst part? People here are also known to escalate things quickly if they feel even a hint of aggression in a conversation.
