Sometimes, it’s not that people are being rude in a certain area of the world; it’s just that things are different here compared to other countries. That might partly be to blame for why some people consider Indonesia to be one of the rudest nations. After all, saying things like “Thank you” won’t necessarily get a “You’re welcome” response.
That’s not all. Others claim that being nice to someone in Indonesia can lead people to ask for something in return, often money, which doesn’t sit well with everyone. Then there are the sales clerks who are known to push as many items on a customer as possible, regardless of whether they want them, to get the biggest sale.
