Boban isn't THAT popular in Montenegro AAdmin
Mostly his hit 'Usne Boje vina"
But besides him in Montenegro Milena Vucic, Bojan Delic, Sergej Cetkovic are all very popular.
Heres a video on Popular Montenegrin Singers :

You also have to add Georgiev, who has by far the best voice in Montenegro, Knez,Sergej Cetkovic,Sladja Delibasic[my second cousin] and Igor[Monteniggers].
If Georgiev was Serbian he would be the biggest star in the Balkans.

It is spelled Georgijev. He lives in Belgrade and considers himself Serbian, like most (Herceg) Novljani.

Good for him, i thought this post was just about Montenegrin singers, not what nationality they considered themselves.

He lives in Belgrade and considers himself Serbian, like most (Herceg) Novljani. = You (Dekimontenegro) should just confirm that "He is biggest star in Balkans". And definitely not = Good for him, i thought this post was just about Montenegrin singers, not what nationality they considered themselves.

I for one actually believe he is one of the most popular singers in the Balkans. But I think that his popularity in the Diaspora is not even close to his popularity at home. He is easily one of the most respected artists in Beograd...............Even owning his own recording studio (which is rare)
PS. He is from Hercego Novi where I have close ties. His mother and father still live in the city (Neither originally being from there). His mother is Serbian whilst his dad is Macedonian Slav.

Really what i meant was if he was born in serbia, he would be a massive star, starting in Montenegro must have been tough, without that much exposure.

^^I was walking through the nightspots of Herceg Novi last summer......watching the local singers doing their stuff in Cafana after Cafana. My cousin then said to his mate the following " Sjecas li buraz kad je pjevao po ovim kafanama prije par godina". Apparently he was still singing at these bars less then 7 years ago. Hes gone a long way!

Dude partisan you're so naive, famous singers sing in beach kafana's every once in a while
Not to mention comes back to HN alot and does pro-bono kind of things like singing in kafanas
He was there when I was back in MNE last summer, a good friend of mine's brother is good friends with Georgiev.
Btw Georgiev never officially stated whether he felt serbian or montenegrin, given that he sings in "Ijekavski" instead of "ekavski", although he lives in belgrad, should be a sign.
But I personally believe Sergej has a better voice anyways.
montenegrodeki - personally I think Nebo was the best of the duo, RIP
