5.8 pc economic growth in first nine months

In the third quarter, GDP amounted to RON 111.345 bln. current prices, advancing by 5.7 per cent in real terms as against the same quarter of the previous year.
Romania’s Gross Domestic Product amounts to RON 266.59 bln. after the first nine months of the year, which stands for 5.8 per cent raise as against the corresponding time period of 2006, according to the data released on Friday by National Statistics Institute (INS).
In the third quarter, GDP amounted to RON 111.345 bln. current prices, advancing by 5.7 per cent in real terms as against the same quarter of the previous year.
The economic growth in the third quarter slightly accelerated compared to the previous quarter, when GDP increased by 5.6 per cent compared to the corresponding time period of the previous year.
Over the first half of 2007, GDP advanced by 5.8 per cent, mainly due to services – 3.2 per cent, constructions – 1.7 per cent and industry – 1.6 per cent, while agriculture and net product taxes had a negative contribution, - 0.2 and – 0.5 percentage points, respectively.
At mid this month, Minister of Economy and Finances, Varujan Vosganian, showed that Romania would have registered, in 2007, an economic growth of 8.1 per cent should drought not have been. (Nine oClock)

yeah the nominal GDP is about 125 bn EURO for 2007. Thd national budget is about 48 bn euro. For the next year the GDP will be abouy 155 bn EURO.
