Its much more logical to be in Bg and Ro. I Mean wouldnt there be problems with the border transit if at the time Serbia is not in the EU? Bg and Ro are. The winter olympics -- it is more logical if it is Serbia/Bulgaria. for summer olympics it is more logicall if it is Bg/Ro. Even if this bid is actual. a decision will not be made until 2011.

I'm pretty sure the whole EU visa regime on Serbia will end by then or at least be simplified. Furthermore, like I said Bg/Ro is more practical as a summer event -- not as winter event. Furthermore. Even if a visa system was in place under new EU laws they are not supposed to apply to athletes. So their shouldn't be visa problems.

EMonline
Serbia is ready to invest in the project and make the resort suitable to host winter Olympics.
Serbia has approached Bulgaria to build together a winter resort on the border area of the Balkan Range, Economy and Energy Minister Peter Dimitrov said here, after his return from a visit to Bulgaria's western neighbour.
The location of the mulled resort on the border between the two countries was chosen by a Canadian company which assessed it as the best place for winter tourism on the Balkans.
Dimitrov said that Serbia is ready to invest in the project and make the resort suitable to host winter Olympics. (BTA)
