Mall of Montenegro to open this year 2008-03-05 22:50:37 A joint public-private partnership between the Podgorica municipality and Gintasmont will open a shopping centre in the capital in three phases. The first will cover 20,000 square metres and have a green market, some 700 stands and at least 70 small stores. The second phase, expected to open in August, includes four blocks, a centre square and several coffee shops. The third, and biggest phase, will include the construction of 80 retail facilities, a multiplex cinema, hypermarket, restaurants and office space. Montenegro: Turkish Gintasmont to open Mall in Podgorica 09:53 - 27 February 2008 Gintasmont, the daughter company of the Turkish company Gintas, will open the Mall of Montenegro in Podgorica in April this year. The project the Mall of Montenegro is being implemented by the City of Podgorica and Gintas, which is the first public-private partnership project. The total value of the investment is EUR 40mn. The Mall will consist of the ‘green’ market, about 700 stalls and 70 smaller shops, all that on the total area of 15,000 square meters. In the second phase of the Mall, which should be opened in August, will consist of four blocks of larger shops on 2,000 square meters, a square and a number of cafés. In the third phase, to be opened next year, there shall be about 80 retail shops, a cinema, a hypermarket, restaurants, cafes and office facilities for rent. Seems Podgorica is following the same example as Beograd. In Beograde something like 10 such "malls" already exist and at least 7 more are planned.
If I'm not mistaken Delta is building their Deltacity mall brand in Podgorica already. So it seem's like Beograd, Podgorica will have too many malls.
