Turkish Fisherman-poacher Killed, Policeman Injured in Fight at Bulgarian Border17 April 2008, Thursday A Turkish fisherman-poacher was killed and a border policeman injured in a shooting at Bulgarian border early on Thursday. The victim, along with several other men, attacked the officials as soon as they managed to get on the boat after it encroached upon Bulgarian territorial waters. One of the fishermen tried to take away the weapon of a policeman. The two got tangled in a net and a shot fired wounded the fisherman to death. About an hour later all the fishermen have been arrested as the hurt one died in a hospital in the town of Tsarevo. The Turkish citizens have also put up resistance to officials, who arrived on the spot on a cutter after being signaled over the incident. The violators were reportedly trying to net some turbots although such an activity has been banned for 15 days due to the current breeding season of the species. www.novinite.com/view_news.php?id=92343

Those Turkish poachers have been practicing this illegal fishing in our waters for a long time. Let's hope that the others will be put in jail with the maximum sentence possible for this crime.

Another great example of our government's inability to protect the sanctity of our borders and resources. Those bastards in office are so corrupt they would sell their mothers for chum change.
