On May 10, the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro (NTO) shall open its first office abroad, Saša Radoviæ, the NTO Director announced last week.
“We chose Germany since it is the largest emission market and Frankfurt is its business and administration center, where leading airline companies have their representative offices,” Radoviæ explained.
Radoviæ announced that the NTO will likely open an office in London in July or August.
He said that NTO plans to establish a call centere to assist tourists.
This summer season, the NTO shall set up a network of digital information stands in the most attractive locations in all municipalities in Montenegro. “These shall be terminals with touch screen technology that shall provide free access to contents of the NTO web portal,” Radoviæ said.
Radoviæ said there were about 5,400 tourists in Montenegro in the first week of April, which is 20 per cent more than in the same period last year. “This year, we expect 20 per cent more tourists from the EU countries and about €550 million of income from tourism, which is 15 per cent more than last year,” Radoviæ said.
The director said that the NTO will spend a portion of its 1.1 M Euro advertising budget to promote Montenegro on BBC, Euronews, Travel Channel and Eurosport.
The NTO will be busy in the region as well. The organization launched a two week summer tourism promotional blitz across Serbia on April 9. By the time the tour is finished on April 23 the NTO will have visited the Serbian cities of Èaèak, Kraljevo, Niš, Kragujevac, Subotica, Sombor, Zrenjanin and Novi Sad. MT/MINA
