I notice that female macedonians have names ending in -ovska
and males -ovski
Do people's last names change endings according to the persons gender??
So lets say the father is Kukovski, he has a daughter she is now "Kukovska" ?
Please let me know im curious thanks ;D

Terro, in your last post in the topic about historic amnesia you expressed your opinion about name-endings in 'ski' as the ultimate expert in macedonain names. Now you ask an extremely ignorant question the answer of which is so obvious that I don't know what to think. Apparently you know very little about macedonians, you simply like to scratch your ego by trying to sound competent.

My take on last names in Macedonia was that the majority end in -ski, bulgarians agree with this as well.
Now this question is a matter of masculine and feminine last name endings.
Why do you comment if you don't want to answer or even discuss the topic..

I told you that the answer is so obvious that you shouldn't ask such question at all if you knew at least a bit about macedonia. Of course women names end on ska, unless they don't end on 'eva' or 'ova'.

Well I'm so sorry I didn't know this monumental fact about macedonian slavs lol
It was just an honest question and I was curious...
Because Croats, serbs, montenegrins, ect dont have this...
And strange that the womens last names in effect change from their father's...

Not necessarily. The last name can be either that of your grandfather from your father's side or a family name that is given from generation to generation.

Marat Safin's sisters surname is changed to Safina. Same as Gorbachev's wife. So it is also common to Russians as well as Macedonians.
