Montenegrin sports journalist assaulted 28 May 2008 | 10:20 | Source: B92, Beta BELGRADE -- A Montenegrin journalist recently interviewed by B92’s Insider as part of the program’s investigation into the football mafia was attacked on Friday.
Mladen Stojoviæ was assaulted in the Montenegrin port city of Bar.
Having sustained heavy blows to the head, he is suffering from amnesia and remembers only that he woke up covered in blood in his apartment.
Stojoviæ’s cheek was sliced open with a sharp object, his jaw was broken and he suffered head injuries.
The Montenegrin Interior Ministry (MUP) told B92 that an investigation was ongoing. When asked whether Stojoviæ was under police protection, the ministry said that such information could only be obtained via official channels.
Until two years ago, Stojoviæ worked as Podgorica daily Vijesti’s Belgrade correspondent, and after returning to Montenegro, he started his own sports newspaper.
Stojoviæ was in Belgrade last ten days ago.

Yep a lot of criminal orginisations would lose money and their freedom, of course they will act to prevent this, I would say the beating is a warning if he persists they will kill him.
