BULGARIA AND CROATIA SIGN COOPERATION PROGRAMME IN SCIENCE, EDUCATION AND CULTURE

Bulgaria and Croatia signed on December 11 ann intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in science, education and culture, Bulgarian news agency BTA said.
"Symbolically, with these signatures we only followed up on what has existed between the Bulgarian and the Croatian people for 13 centuries now," Croatian ambassador to Bulgaria Drazen Vukov Colic said in Bulgarian at the signing ceremony.
From the Bulgarian side, the document was signed by Deputy Foreign Minister Lyubomir Kyuchoukov, BTA said.
Colic said he was pleased that the programme envisaged new steps in Bulgarian language studies in Croatia and Croatian language studies in Bulgaria.
According to Kyuchoukov, the cooperation confirmed an active dialogue at all levels between the two countries. He said that Bulgaria and Croatia have common values and goals in foreign policy.

Bulgaria and Croatia Signed a Collaboration Program
Intergovernmental program for collaboration in the areas of science, education and culture for the period 2006-2008 was signed today between Bulgaria and Croatia.
‘In symbolic meaning with these signatures we have only proceeded that, what exist between Bulgarian and Croatian people for thirteen centuries already' said the Croatian ambassador Drajen Vukov- Colic on pure Bulgarian.
He signed the document for the Croatian side, and from Bulgarian this was done by Vice- Inner Affairs Minister Lubomir Kuchukov.
‘Both Croatians and Bulgarians have struggled hard to save their national and cultural identity and we're especially happy Bulgaria defeated in their fight for common European recognition of the Cyrillic.' said Drajen Vukov- Colic
He expressed his satisfaction the program previews new steps in expanding of Croatian language learning in Bulgaria, and Bulgarian in Croatia.
