Macedonian arrested for smuggling drugs in Croatia
Zagreb police arrested one Macedonian and three Croatian citizens, seizing more than 2,6 kilograms of heroin, smuggled through the Balkan route from Macedonian.
The Macedonian citizen Jusuf Sejsi (37) and three Croats were arrested in a joint operation of Slovenian and Croatian police, Hina news agency reported.
The police in June started to monitor the group that smuggled heroin from Macedonia and sold it in Croatia, Slovenia and Austria.
According to the police, the Macedonian citizen, who organized the smuggling, had rented many apartments in Zagreb, where he stashed the heroin, mixed it with prescription drugs to gain weight and packed it for further selling.
The value of the seized drugs is estimated to two million Kunas (around 270 thousand Euros).
