40 to 60 dollars, depending on the store.

That is 2-3 bottles of Ouzo. Such a waste of money if you buy cognac.

Yes. And ouzo makes a better mouthwash than cognac.

Guys,I hate this crap...but I received a bottle from someone who came from Greece.... so I want to be sneaky and find out how much they paid... ;D
I know it's not duty free... so I got to know how much did it cost in Athens.

The sad thing is that imported alcohol in Greece is usually cheaper than where it is produced. Take for example Jack Daniels which is made around 65 miles from where I live in a dry county. If I buy a 5th here it cost me around 28$, but in Greece it only cost me 23$. Crazy isn't it. Once would think since it didn't have to be shipped 2000 miles away it would cost less?!?!

RuseBG, just a question. In Bulgaria, do they sell 1lt, or 2lt plastic bottles of beer? In FYROM they had up to 1lt bottles, and in Yugoslavia 2lt!! (in croatia they have also 1lt - since its supposed to be more european-like ! lol!)

In Croatia there are 1lt, 1.5lt, 2lt and sometimes on actions 2.5 lt plastic bottles of beer. The beer is for 1lt 1.50-2.00 euros, while 2lt are 2.00-3.50 euros... Domestic wines are to expensive, so Croatians very often buy much cheaper wines from Bulgaria and F.Y.R. of Macedonia which are in the same range of quality...
How much is a twelve star Metaxa now in Greece?

Karlovacko it was more expensive, and Nektar the cheapest.!! As far as metaxa goes, we dont drink it!
