You must love your husband to go through that trouble. Do you know any women that can still cook? I can't seem to find one in the states.

Zvone, I love my husband very much ...it's no trouble at all to cook him meals and make him a cake on his birthday. I like taking care of him like that . lol, I know a lot of women who cook...I didn't think it was that rare nowadays that women do that ;D.

I always thought American women generally do more than Scandinavian women do :S. But who knows, I'm probably wrong...

Lucky guy! Probably not. I cook all the time, but that's because I like to cook, and it relaxes me. But if I ask some of the girls I have dated to cook, they look at me like I'm telling them to climb Mt. Everest. To them it's like Quantum Physics trying to figure out the different measures for the recipes...maybe I'm picking the wrong girls, lol. I don't know, maybe I can't get everything I want.

Just tell them the food measurements in inches and they will get it.

Oh never forgetting the wine :-)
Zvone, trust me there are plently of women who can cook good, but they are taken usually, unlike myself; I love to cook also. It's a big passion of mine and if I'm away from a kitchen even for 2 days as I am now in the hotel, I suffer cause I can't cook something. I know how sad lol... Like someone said it's relaxing and I find it creative. Just find yourself a good hearted person (thats harder to find than a good cook!) and who cares about the cooking part, you can cook as my father did at times when I was little, I learnt more from him than my mum...as she wasn't into cooking and working alot!
and manijak good effort trying to pick up Zvone ..it's ok I understand :-)

Illyria, do you agree that men are better cooks than women?

Oops. You are right. Bad selection of words on my part. Anyway, this doesn't change the fact that when it comes to the art of cooking, women are miles behind, aren't they? ;D

yesterday i made chow mein..wow, awesome. It smelled and tasted exactly like what i order.
Like people were mentioning before, you do need to get the spices right (which is the key) and being Bosnian..you have to get in the habit of cooking things at high heats and stir-frying them..not boiling. Somehow Bosnians I have met just want to boil everytything to death.
The order is also important.
I made it alrite before but this time I just got the whole sauce right.
