A convoy of Russian tanks and military vehicles is reportedly on its way to the capital of Georgia’s breakaway republic. It comes after President Dmitry Medvedev promised that "Russia will not close its eyes on the deaths of Russian citizens in South Ossetia." Several Russian peacekeepers have been killed in clashes with Georgian forces.
Lets see how the turks are gonna dance now.

"Russian tanks enter South Ossetia, raising tensions with Georgia which is fighting separatist rebels there."
!!!
When those bitches were bombing Serbia, it was Serbs who were raising tensions.. Now that "their" Georgia does the same as Serbs and the Russians as NATO, it is ... Russians who raise tensions....
BBC....
nice for the dinosaur series, but lousy at anything else.

Saakashivili was always an US asskisser and fascist... I will always remember how he and his so called "police" treated the protests in Tiflis two years ago... As for those making fun from Ossetian and Abkhazian independence movement I will just say this: "Shame on you, you hypocritical b*****s, when you were attacked you were whining all around the world, now when somebody is suffering you make fun of them, I disgust you US asskissers..."

You wonna talk about IRONY, don't forget to mention Russia supporting Serbia's "integrity" but then trying to outright steal a piece of Georgia by suporting the rebels.
They don't even want independance they want to be part of Russia.
So of course when succession suits Russia they suport it.
How the f**k is Georgia greedy? Wtf?
Russia has always been despicable. Honestly. I can't think of a world power that's behaved as f**ked up as they have all through out history. They're just morons.
and btw to the pther dude, turkey could easily hold it's own against Russian forces. It has one of the best militaries around.

I was wondering the same kapetan. Georgia (which by the way is Orthodox Christian) is a country and not some part of Russian Federation. Within it's border there is South Essetia with some 50 thousand people who want to separate and become part of Russia.
If anything Russia could be seen as NATO and Georgia as Serbia while Ossetia is Kosovo, only difference is that Serbs terrorized Albanians for years while in this case the minority Ossetians are terrorizing Georgians and Russia is stepping in to help Ossetia.

On a serious note, do you all believe Russia's actions are any different from the United States?
They both act the exact same way on the global scene, choosing and picking fights, and supporting others. That's the way it's always been.

They both act the exact same way on the global scene, choosing and picking fights, and supporting others. That's the way it's always been. In south osetia lives a great deal of Russians. It is the duty of Russia to protect its citizens (by the default definition of the term "country"-"state"). The americans have never been in such an analogous situation as far as i can remember (one of reasons being that they are not a nation - but for some more too).

Except South Ossetia is nothing like Kosovo, and Georgia is nothing like Serbia.
And Russia is looking to grab that land. It's not giving them independance, it's gonna become part of Russia.
As for "Russians" in Georgia. Those are not really citizens of Russia, but Georgia. But either way anytime your ethnic group is in dangr anywhere you just attack the country? So Serbia should attack Norway if some Serbs get abused? Lol.
Do you know what their reasons for splitting way is? No real legitimate reason other then we feel like it.
Even Albania didn't outright declare war on Serbia to defend Kosovars. They gave support in various ways, but nothing like sending planes to bomb.

"Except South Ossetia is nothing like Kosovo, and Georgia is nothing like Serbia."
The only other possible alternative is to say that South Ossetia is like Northern Mitrovica, Georgia is like Kosovo, and Russia like Serbia. Its your call. Ok i know the formalities about provinces and republics, no need for yet some more redundant info.
"Even Albania didn't outright declare war on Serbia to defend Kosovars." That was a joke he? ha ha ha good one!

I'm suprised Serbs would take Russia's side in this. Georgia was one of the first countries to back Serbia on the Kosovo issue.

And what are you?
And laugh all you want but everything I sad was true, unless you have some alternate conpisracy theory version of history where Albania and Serbia went to war in 1998.
